<div class="IPBDescription">Not a serious discussion..</div> I know this is kind of dumb, but one thing I see people saying far too often at end game is... well... "end it", and this bugs me to no end.

Like a marine team that's farm'd, outfitted with grenade launchers, HMGs, welders, etc... telling fades and lerks to "end it" and seeming genuinely annoyed that the aliens keep dying because <b>they're being shot at</b>.

So I'm officially starting a movement to abolish the use of "end it" from turtling marines. <img src='http://www.unknownworlds.com/forums/html/emoticons/tounge.gif' border='0' style='vertical-align:middle' alt='tounge.gif' />

Sure, in a situation like you've just described there, saying "end it" isn't a very helpfull comment...

but when the marines are sitting in base with minimal if any upgrades, and the fades are just flying in, killing a marine, and flying out... THATS when it gets boring

It happens the other way round too. Aliens are left with 1 rt and 1 hive and 3 whatever chambers, and marines have map control.

Kharaa: OMG END IT MARINES
Marines: Yea we would, if you'd stop biting us and killing our RTs

More of a case of "to the bitter end", if you ask me.

F4 is lame thats why you can find quite a few servers with rr block!

I don't care if your sitting in-base waiting to die.

If you are turtled then it's your own fault you deserver to be killed off slowly and the same goes to aliens.

I usually just sit on top of an IP during a hopeless situation, works well and you increase the spawn queue so the game would end faster.

If aliens want to end a marine campfest, just get half your team to go Skulk, and xeno rush the marine base. That should stall them enough for onos/fades to surgically hit any structure they like.

Even if they beacon, they're beaconing with just LMGs, and although they can rebuild structures, they will soon run out of res.

As for marines..... if you want to end a marine game quickly, take JPs and fully upgraded shotties and simply rush each hive. Boom boom boom, eggs for everyone.

It's kind of half and half, I'm with necrosis. It's all well and good saying that you can't end it as aliens against a marine turtled base, but when all you're doing is playing as gorges webbing, with one onos and a couple of fades, what do you really expect? Against such things you just xeno rush them over and over, and spore them, and sooner than not the turrets will be gone and the game won. It's one thing to have marines turtling with GL's and the like, but if you're just onosing and devouring then why do you think you're being moaned at (for example)?

I've been guilty of saying 'end it' before, but only in situations where marines have low tech and 1 node, the aliens have 2 hives and fades, but insist on getting the third so that they can xeno when they're perfectly capable of rushing the base and destroying it.

I just go afk if the other team won't end it. I'll browse a website and then come back and move every few minutes to anti-afk doesn't kick in.

Most of the time that people say "end it" they get a joking reply along the lines of those posted prior. F4 is the obvious choice, but personally, I like running out into the cloaked onos and being digested. Dying's a wonderful hobby of mine, one I'd hope everyone here is familiar with, and being able to fool around after a game that may or may not have been stressfull is a great thing to do. I'm also rather partial to marine turtling while on kharaa as well, if only for the reason that it gives me a chance to practice fading without it being a serious risk to the team.

If you think people deserve to sit and suffer, then I bet you play on some empty servers.

it's just a shame that servers tend to die if too many games on the trot are "decided" by F4.
