    yeah. i love(d?) the bug that sometimes didnt show shooting animations or muzzleflashes, or any screen shake. if ns was like that all the time my aim would propably be at least two times better <!--emo&:D--><img src='http://www.unknownworlds.com/forums/html/emoticons/biggrin-fix.gif' border='0' style='vertical-align:middle' alt='biggrin-fix.gif' /><!--endemo--> it's the shaking thats worst.

    gl_max_size can be set to values that block rendering of larger textures while skulk/marine textures are unaffected.

    Aka some rooms are whitewalled and some are not, still gives a blur effect though.

    um i see not much advantage of white walls... appart from easier to see the enemy... but its not an amazing adv.

    Yep, it is pretty noticeable.
    Try the following:

    1. run NS.
    2. start a lan server., using a co_ map. Join marines
    3. open the console and type sv_cheats 1
    4. type givexp 9999
    5. close the console.
    6. try shooting, notice no screen shaking.
    7. upgrade to weapons 3.
    8. try shooting again and notice the difference.

    I've always hated having my fire animations fail to play--they never really bothered my aim much, but I rely on them for timing (especially with shotgun). If the animations aren't playing right, my timing gets screwed up.
