Horrible Sound Glitch

<div class="IPBDescription">Horrible, random noises..</div> When ever I play NS, after maybe 10 minutes my sound will pop, hiss, sizzle, burp, and make some really eardrum ripping sounds.. It will stop after doing that for about 5 minutes then start again a little bit later.. It sounds like the soundcard is crashing *really high pitch pops and garbbling*
NS is the only application it happens in, it does not occur in CS, FA, or any other HL mod.. only NS..

Whoa, wierd one there. Make sure you have the latest drivers, and that your dog isn't trying to eat your soundcard.

My sound card got real horrible when ever i was near an mp3. (mp3 playing as map atmosphere is supported) Fixed it by turning down the accelaration a notch. Your problem sounds similar so it might work.

The only thing I can think of is ( i have a similar sound card Audigy gamer) open your audio HQ and click the speakers tab then check or uncheck Digital output only, see if that makes a difference. as mention above make sure you have that latest drivers, try messing with the NS audio settings aswell.
