<div class="IPBDescription">Live!</div> Public test realm is live! Basically they test the patches on it before making them live to regular servers. Check their main page for how to copy a character onto it. Also Im pretty sure there is only 1 test realm server. So they should stick all of us onto the same one. Hope to see some of you there!

There are two, PVE and PVP.
Most should be on the PVP server though.. Why would anyone want to test the <b>PVP</b> honor system on a PVE server?
I also feel kind of out done. Im usually on a low pop server where our best guilds still haven't done all of MC. One issue though: DEAR GOD THE LAG. We attacked grom'gol. Oh goddddddddddd. 50 alliance versus 50 horde totally exploded the server.
Also, there is a bug where lower "rank" spells no longer overwrite higher "rank" ones. Thusly we have people running around with every rank of PW:F or every rank of AI. This will probally be fixed. Quickly.
I don't want to be a beta tester and suffer from bug filled pre-patches.

play on my pally for 2 weeks on a test server that will erase everything when it goes fina. or play on my druid get him to 60 and get full wildheart

Well, it takes almost ten minutes to log in when I crash out, but when I'm in . . . well, I got about fifty honorable kills in the space a few minutes in Hillsbrad. It's rather epic.
I'm glad they replaced the succubus model with that new one. Don't have to put up with a horrible blurry mess standing next to my warlock now :D

Wrong on all fronts, Gem.
1) I was ambushed by rogues in the Battle for Hillsbrad. I always won - PoM Pyro FTW.
2) Hunters are doing just fine.
3) The new five second rule doesn't help much, but it's a nice little boost, especially when I'm already using mage armor. Interesting note: it may seem strange to forgo the excellent armor and slow effect of ice armor in PvP, but 95% of the damage I took was from priests or magic AoEs - I was almost never attacked by a rogue and warriors didn't dare approach.
And yes, the new Succy is teh sex.

We have a 65% chance to crit an ambush.
We have a 50% chance to crit a backstab.
If both these hit AND crit, we do around 2,600~ to cloth at best (full talents and wielding a felstriker), and rapidly less as the armour on our target increases. After we ambush you, our energy regen means you have between 5 and 10 seconds to do somthing about it, or you either die or end up so low on hits you can not win. I've seen plenty of people cave into the stress of the situation and attempt to run like headless chickens. I've also seen people who have kept their cool and mopped the floor with me, or have managed to use their skills to escape so I don't get diddly-squat. Take it from an ambush rogue, we're as counterable as anyone. You just need to know HOW to do this.
I'm hoping that blizzard doesn't do anything absurd.

Anyways, while I don't believe any of what I said in the previous post those seem to be the big whines echoing around the boards from what's been happening on the test server. The reason for the 'omg rogue supar kill!' is because the the % damage increase from ambush and backstab hadn't been applied properly so in the upcoming patch which is on the test server where the % is now done correctly the damage is upped a considerable bit.
In many ways this might make a dagger rogue much more viable than it was before :3
I noticed in the rogue forum they were having a bit of a party over it talking about how they were ultra-nuking clothies with ambush now.
Mages have always been a pain in the rear for rogues if they're actually played well though... luckily the majority of mages can't play to save their rear :p
As for the hunter thingy the hunters have been in an uproar now that ranged attacks now check against melee defences so now you can fully dodge, parry and block all their arrows. The net result seems to be a loss of about 10-20% damage due to hits being nullified :o
Considering hunters also got their damage lowered last patch as well from a fix to the speed % given by quivers/ammo pouches and I guess I can see why they're a bit miffed.
That and the pets are a bit messed up at the moment; blizz sorta stripped most of them of their unique abilities once you tame them (resistances and whatnot), course this is to get ready for the new pet abilities that are going to be introduced but noticably despite all that they still haven't even fixed the pet run speed bug where your pet randomly just runs at about 50% speed for no apparent reason from time to time.
There's obviously upgrades coming for the hunter but considering they're being watered down in advance and with how long it takes for blizz to actually hit with a new patch I can sorta see why a lot of hunters are going nutty. I'm not fussed personally but the constant downgrades without much in the way of upgrades is probably making some of them forget that a 'buff' is on the cards for the near future :p
I've not had any real complaints myself about any of the patches; I'm just eager to see the point where blizz considers the base classes 'balanced' and stops doing major tweaks on them; moving on to concentrate on the hero classes :D
