<div class="IPBDescription">looks cool, worth getting?</div> Well as a mmorpg player i dont mind paying $12.50 a month for a game, this looks cool but should i really buy it? I bought daoc and got bored after a month, is this game like that?
Well if you like flying in a huge universe, trading, attacking another race, or just going out exploring,, yes you should. You can upgrade your ship in a station, And i think you can visit the planets. I never played the thing for very long; I'm not in the habit of buying MMORPGs that I know I won't play forever. But I hear it was one click combat, and that's the <i>bad</i> kind of combat.

Daoc, been there done that didnt buy the t-shirt. Got bored after a month. Anarchy online, got bored of that even after stop playing for 6months and going back. Everquest, gotto love it, i was playing it for 3years... Its a great game and pvp system is awesome, i got scammed... Go on tallon zek and /tell grobbosh you are a wanker.
I gotta say i was in one of the earlier beta phases and saw that game evolve a lot. When i first got the cd i thought "Holy Crap this is game is gonna rock" (ok thats my censored version of what i said) but this game is probably one of the worse mmorpgs ive ever played. The fact that i came in so early in the beta when there were only 3 classes made it even worse. Even with the evolution over time they really havent added all that much. The game is BORING! well ALL other mmorpgs have a boredom factor to them but its easily overcome by the fun of other things but this is awful. 90% of your game time is traveling. To go anywhere you must "warp" to a location for a very LONG time and go through confusing jump routes on the way or you have to be a jenqua explorer with a special abilitie that teleports you to a few key locations. Another awful factor of this game is the combat variety. After getting your initial skills through your newbie quests (the newbie quests were the most fun i had doing in all the beta since they are the only well constructed quests in the game) you just find a couple of other skills through quests. Most of the skills in this game are BORING. So you combine boring combat in which you only do the same thing over and over and over again, and combine that with no pvp combat, worst traveling between location experience ive ever seen in a game, and awful overall look to the game (hardly anything other than asteroids enemies and planets around) makes for one of the most awful mmorpgs ever made. And thats my review of the game after having had about 8 characters with some in there 30's but id get bored after that

they claim its coming back.. I guess it is since the website is finnaly up and running again. It was pretty fun, but I think im biased because its graphics so closely resemble FFT, and so does the level system :O.
Oh god neocron is good for the first HOUR, Its annoying when you want to try to kill monsters alone and everyone kills it. Aswell as bugs and its just.. ANNOYING.
I hated starting a new character in neocron unless it was one of those psi fighter guys. The guys that are supposed to use guns all start with knives. I couldnt get over that and got bored fighting rats for hours with knives :/ I played the beta tho so i dunno if they improved the knives or if there still slow as crap to kill even a rat.

you spend a lot of time sitting in warp staring at the same animation over and over. its pretty but mind numbing.
last i saw kill stealing was rampant, chat is annoying.

and anyway, its a horrible game. I got hooked on it for maybe a few weeks, but it escalated into nothingness cause everything was the same.
Want an MMORPG but dun wanna wait for SWG? Get Neocron....
