Sure most of the time they turn to drivel after the first page but at least that's better then the general forum where 90% of the posts are just plain stupid. Personally I liked this forum better when no one really moderated it and only dumb topics got locked, instead of locking every topic that doesn't die on its own in 2 days.

    I agree, once threads are reduced to spam, they die anyway. But by locking such thread you effectively kill any chance for future on-topicness

    Concerning the competitive forums: Certainly no one is forcing you to come and participate, so follow the forum rules, add constructive and respectible replys, and you wont fear me locking said topics.

    I am the Competitive Forum Moderator. I will attempt to mod these forums in the best interests of the site, and not let it succumb to elitist spam and drivel. I am expecting more, dare I say, responsibility out of you competitive players.

    If you don't let it go past the first page, it's kind of hard to get into a discussion. what if everyone who wanted to respond or add a point to that thread showed up after the first 5-6 people didn't post much to contribute to the main topic at hand, the thread shouldn't be locked; there was an obvious topic at hand about 2 people hacking in CAL, and with little to no reason it gets locked.

Im not going to bend the forum rules simply because you believe comptetitive discussions require a page or more of spam before they magicaly fall on topic. Things dont work that way round here (Never where supposed to, so fear the reaper).

    What forum rules did the thread about two cheaters in cal break? I've never seen any other moderator lock a thread for "spam". They simply remove those posts.

    Please, there are other places, other catagories to act out of boredom or for the impulse to increase post count. I would like you guys to see the potential of creating a more respectable competitive community.

    Look, all that's needed is to delete posts that are off-topic/elitist/whatever. Don't lock the threads, so discussion can actually take place. That's all there is to it! Otherwise all you are doing is discouraging any discussion.
