Carapace ALSO increases the amount of damage that your armor soaks up for you. It does significantly more than just add 50 armor. Read the soak percentages and do the math. If you have DCs to run to... Carapace is much better. If not... regen is definitely the way to go.

As for Adrenaline vs. Celerity, I usually go Adrenaline myself because my standard operating procedure is to Scream... wait for energy to come back... Charge. It is INSANE the kind of killing machine you become using those two in conjunction. Seriously... I almost feel guilty. Almost. <!--emo&;)--><img src='http://www.unknownworlds.com/forums/html/emoticons/wink.gif' border='0' valign='absmiddle' alt='wink.gif'><!--endemo-->

nice, but I got conufsed at one part:

<!--QuoteBegin--></span><table border='0' align='center' width='95%' cellpadding='3' cellspacing='1'><tr><td><b>QUOTE</b> </td></tr><tr><td id='QUOTE'><!--QuoteEBegin-->remember you dont actually have to be moving forward for this abbility to work, just be holding forword<!--QuoteEnd--></td></tr></table><span class='postcolor'><!--QuoteEEnd-->

    -talking about the charge

Isn't moving foward holding foward?? I am confused? do you mean just holding charge?

If this issue has already been adressed, can you just change it in the topic so other people see it... , but tell us you do, because us who have read wont get it.

LOL> I know nto isn't a word.. it was obvouisly a typo.... *not.

I didn't mean to offend you, I just get annoyed by the word "tooken" which isnt even a real word, try and catch yourself saying it.

holding forward and moving forward are two different things, moving forward your model is going forward, holding forward is holding whatever you have binded moving fowrard. IE the up arrow and the W key if you use WASD

I tend to agree that attacking a fortified position, you're better off with carapace.
Yes, you get a lot of life back per tick with regen, but you're also taking more damage per shot.
With Carapace, by the time your armor runs out, you still have like 200 health, thanks to the armor having a higher absorbtion of damage.
More than enough to leave the base, and soak up some good luvin' from the farm of O/D chambers set up just outside.
Having tried both methods, I've found that with my playstyle, I have higher survivability with carapace.

If you're scouting, I agree, regen/cloak is the way to go.
But who'd scout with an onos?
I prefer a lerk for that. Worst case scenario, you can still umbra yourself while retreating.
    Umbra, move, cloak, wait.
Sort of ninja-esque with a smokebomb, vanishing into the night.

Redemption I don't use all that much, unless we're starved for resources and don't want to lose my fade.

I guess it comes down to situation and playstyle.
For large attacks, I prefer carapace.

Yeah, ill revise it a little. If you have a gorge build defensive chambers near by carpace is the way to go, seeing as you have 1275 hits instead of 950 actuall damage, but ONLY if you have chambers near by or are playing defense. If attacking alone regen is your only choice.

    ok, i'll buy that.
the reason I go carapace is because I feel regen isnt as useful since there's usually DC's all built up.

i'm usually gorge until I feel enough stuff is built and I have nothing else to do with my 100+ resources!
    I know there's DC's nearby since I made em <!--emo&:)--><img src='http://www.unknownworlds.com/forums/html/emoticons/smile.gif' border='0' valign='absmiddle' alt='smile.gif'><!--endemo-->

A "tick" in regen is every 2 seconds, not 1 second.

Does it help the Ono if he guzzles 3 boxes of cheap wine before his charge? Seemed to me that it helped, truly it did. Through my purple hazed vision it all seemed good and righteous. Peace, Jimi Rulz.
