<div class="IPBDescription">and Peter Jackson?</div> <a href='http://www.kongisking.net/index.shtml' target='_blank'>King Kong</a>

Seems Peter Jackson decided not to sit and bask in the glory of LOTR for long...

    Mmm yes he mentioned he'd be doing King Kong almost as soon as LOTR was done, if not before all three films were out I seem to recall. I never liked King Kong, and I quite frankly can't see any director this side of Pluto doing a good job on it, even with today's amazing special effects.

    The LOTR hype will stick with him, and he will probably not meet his fans' expectations with King Kong - that be my prediction anyway!

    Should be worth a look though.

    Kinda old news. Hopefully this movie's as good as Dead-Alive[AKA Braindead]. What a classic.

    As awesome as Dead Alive was, I hope King Kong is nothing like it in terms of style. At all.

    I was kinda dissapointed when I first heard that they weren't going to use stop motion animation, but meh.

    The even better news about this movie is that the game tie-in is being partially developed by Ubi Montreal and partially by one Michel Ancel.

    Ancel = the mind behind Rayman and, most notably (in my eyes, at least <!--emo&:p--><img src='http://www.unknownworlds.com/forums/html/emoticons/tounge.gif' border='0' style='vertical-align:middle' alt='tounge.gif' /><!--endemo--> ), Beyond Good and Evil.

    I have very high hopes. <!--emo&;)--><img src='http://www.unknownworlds.com/forums/html/emoticons/wink-fix.gif' border='0' style='vertical-align:middle' alt='wink-fix.gif' /><!--endemo-->

    Also refreshing to see a pretty solid team on a movie tie-in game. I'm all for the original franchises and whatnot, but if you're going to do a tie-in, you might as well do it right!

    It looks like jackson lost like 70 pounds... good for him <!--emo&:p--><img src='http://www.unknownworlds.com/forums/html/emoticons/tounge.gif' border='0' style='vertical-align:middle' alt='tounge.gif' /><!--endemo-->

    on a more topical note, the video diaries are quite interesting.

    Wow, he has lost a lot of weight. Still needs to find a comb, though.

    I don't know about the movie; this looks like another Godzilla and/or Hulk. Do we need another one of those?

    I demand Donkey Kong.

    Old school Donkey Kong.

    This is a conundrum for me. On the one hand, remaking <i>King Kong</i> is like remaking <i>Citizen Kane</i>; No, just... No. On the <i>other hand</i>, Peter Jackson is the one person I know who could do this right.

    I'm so very torn <!--emo&:(--><img src='http://www.unknownworlds.com/forums/html/emoticons/sad-fix.gif' border='0' style='vertical-align:middle' alt='sad-fix.gif' /><!--endemo-->

    On a sidenote: Has anybody else noticed how much weight Jackson has lost? He looks like he's gone from a Michael Moore-ish girth to a Steven Spielberg-esque trim.

    I've never seen the original King Kong movie... so unsure if its suppose to be a comedy, but man, the cast for this is setup for a comedy.

    The one cast member that really caught me was Andy Serkis (Gollum) as King Kong and Lumpy the cook.
