8 Vs. 8?

Long battles, more people fighting,and using of greater tactics (instead of the good ole' mass charge in the name of Mother Russia sense of attacks).
But I see way too many servers using 8 vs. 8, and with the best version of NS out since the 2.XX days, the game is way too imbalanced from start to finished, in favor of marines. I try sticking to the +28 servers to get a better envirnment and play style.
My question and comment is, why do servers run 8 vs 8 when it is fairly obvious that it is something that just doesn't work in the new NS? Is it due to Bandwidth usage or cost, etc? If you have the option of 14 vs 14, then why run a server on 8 vs 8 which does inhibit the game from being played to it's full vantage?

Geez. I don't want to insult you, but I mean, come on. 8v8 doesn't inhibit gameplay, it's a personal preference.

Or the aliens are very skilled.
Acctually it does a big loop. At insanely high playernumbers there is just SO many upgraded skulks that they hold the map too easily, but at overlow numbers like 3v3 thier res flow is good enough that they can still early fade to decimating results, and thier res flow is SO fast they quickly own the map with lame and lifeforms.
The curve of balance I would say peaks out just about at 8v8, and I think that is probably the most balanced playing number in 3.0f.

In big games, the marines get HUGE RFK and multiple IPs and it's game over.
I wouldn't classify 8v8 as big, however. Even 10v10, the aliens have a decent chance to win, even if it isn't 50-50.

If 12 skulks head on rush the marines, one marine alone should be able to kill 3-4 with LMG/pistol and very little effort, and upwords of 6 with med support. It's very possible, and very silly for skulks to "swarm" when they are equaled in numbers by the marine team. Don't even consider this situation with upgrades/weaponry, as it's a mass skulk SLAUGHTER.

In general amounts between 4 v 4 and 7 v 7 seem to be alot more alien sided on my server but it really becomes hard for both sides to win when theres 8 v 8 and even 10 v 10 we have had alot of close games when we were sure marines or even aliens would win but its been turned around each have lost! Some of the closest games i have seen in a long time especially with version 3.0!
