    yeah, it has nothing to do with your work...but i have to agree: i dont like it. its the subject matter, i suppose. i'd rather see a proper version of that avp shotgun (one w/strap), because this just looks too plain. also, the mossy was hicks 'personal' toy that he kept around for 'close encounters,'...not standard issue. therefore, liberal use of artistic license might be in order... <!--emo&;)--><img src='http://www.unknownworlds.com/forums/html/emoticons/wink-fix.gif' border='0' style='vertical-align:middle' alt='wink-fix.gif' /><!--endemo-->

    I would keep both and give the people who use this pack a choice between the two since you have already made it.

    I could rig up a shotgun on the bottom of the pulse rifle...but I'd like to try to make that the gl.

    I dont really like that shotgun that was in the AVP game, besides as a skinning point of view Id rather not touch that mesh. Any other suggestions?

    I would stick with the one you already have if you don't want to do both shotguns.

    What I would do, as I'm a genius, is make the peewees all a rather generic shotty, and have the v weapon as the Hicks family heirloom.

    That way noone else SEEMS to be using it, and you can tell yourself you're using the proper one.

    i <i>wish</i> i had a generic mossy p_model. all the ones i've found share the same number of polies as their damn v_model counterpart. optimization, anyone?
    one of the things i liked about the avp pack was that the p_models were actually low·poly -like the defaults- yet still looked good. all of these 1k+ poly p_models are a waste of my cpu's limited power...

    how about the wheel chair shotie in alien rez, looks pritty chuncky sort of like the Q2 shotie

    also there's a lot of nice old guns in alien rez, things get mentioned like the drop ship they fly out on you know all the smuggler weapons are from around the same time as ripley fighting da queen

    I'm to lazy to post a pic, but I've got a low poly pulse rifle modeled, weighing in at 98 polies for p and w's.     but was saying the weapons the mercs used were from the same era as ripleys mineing times

    read the book, and yes in the book the alien does get down to earth, but its not that stupid half human thing

    Before you do the alien shield/spear, I would rather hijack you to convert the AvP pred weapons/hands to a more friendly HL format.

    Yes, I don't want the nightmare of having to do a predator pack singlehanded.

    necro id give you a hand but I'd wanna finish with this pack first. I can be easily distracted, this whole pack started with a distraction of me skinning the pulse rifle.

    Could i use this line on textures or just the hands

    so theoritically could have multiple skins for the pulse rifle, say changing the plastic colour like the hands are switched white and black

    Oh man i'm excited for this....thank god a vp-70.....i have 1 suggestion for the player models....try to make the heavies look like vasquez and drake, you know, smartgunners...not they're faces obviously, i just mean they're armor was differant than the colonial marine regular....even if its the same armor just skinned black or something...that would be so sweet....oh and l0tus, i agree...alien resurrection and avp were teh sux...Oh, and i've been wanting a nade launcher that works from the actual pulse rifle nade launcher forever...man this rules...

    try imagine an exosuit holding a pistol/mg/sg/hmg/nade launcher in game...

    ppls had done this way back in 1.0
    just can't get rid of the p_models
