<div class="IPBDescription">help me! XP is crashing me!</div> Ah, Oni my most favorite of games. Ever since dreadful XP cam along, it has been giving me the equivalent of a cold shoulder by crashing on me. Only drowning my sorrows in Battlefield Vietnam will cure me, and yet it cannot cure my lust for oni. Please, someone give me an answer to make it compatible with XP.

    I remember that game, it was kinda fun. I wonder if this is the same case as when all those people couldn't play System Shock 2 on XP and had to do some crazy stuff to get it working. I dunno, you'd have to look it up and see if anyone else has had the same problems.

    Do you get an error message or does it just shutdown. Is this as soon as the title/menu screen loads, or is it when you start running the game engine? Be specific about everything cause someone may be able to figure it out. And don't forget to google.

    To fix video preformance try this

    Oni and some other games also had issues with Direct X 8.0a which caused the game to crash whenever video played. My screen would go black except for like 2 white pixles.

    Also some of the older Nvidia drivers had issues. Some people fixed this with the winXP update that gave updated drivers. i know of one case with the GForceIII that recieved these updates and fixed it.

    I know for a fact that I have played Oni with win XP though without any problems on my PC.

    Do you have an ATI video card? I got my copy of Oni to run without any outside programs by turing AI to 'High'.

    Oni is great, I got it next to me. It runs perfectly on Win XP for me though.

    Oni was pretty good. It needed some polish and refinement, and better voice actors, though.

    If they made a sequel, however... O.O

    And what about a sequel to Shogo?

    I need a way to play the ending movie without having to, you know, end the game. And Oni needs an over-the-top, daodan-chrysalis-infested sequel.

    I was able to keep the Oni running on WinXP for some hours
