Trackerui.dll?

<div class="IPBDescription">erm....</div> (sorry if this has already been covered)

When loading up a game I get the following message:

"Tracker error: TrackerUI.dll invalid, not working properly."

The game still works, but I was just wondering:

a). What is it?
b). Does it really matter that it isn't working?

I get the message a lot too. I play TFC more than NS and so i notice it more in TFC, but it hasn't affected gameplay at all so i am not worrying about it. You know what they say, if it isn't broken, don't try to fix it. <img src='http://www.unknownworlds.com/forums/html/emoticons/biggrin.gif' border='0' valign='absmiddle' alt='biggrin.gif'>

ok well its a nice chat program thats going ot be put into halflife mods soonero r later but nayways how to get rid of it is to go to your halflife or couynterstrike directory find the folder called valve then go to the cl_dlls subdir then Rename the GameUI.dll to something else, like GameUI.bak but dont delete it u might need it later on when the release tracker and if they do then just rename it back to .dll

It is a meaningless error. If you want to fix it, you need to add something to your config, I forget what, www.counter-strike.net has it somewhere on the site.

Actually, from what I heard is that Tracker is the ICQ thing that comes with Steam. I have no idea why it shows up in non-Steam enabled mods. maybe it's on by default in the HLSDK?

This also happens to prevent you from using F1 and F2, so if you want to fix it you can do what jeebussaves says or use this:
