Crashing.....

CPU Speed: 1.2

CPU Make: eh?

Sound Card: eh?

Graphics Card: GeForce 3

Memory: If Memory = Ram, then I got 1024...if not.....then...eh?
Operating system: eh?

Graphics Mode: OpenGL

Resolution: 1027 x 768

Detailed description of the problem, and what exactly you were doing before the problem occured:
Problem - I double click on a server...and it does the normal joining server screen..you know the big consol thingy. Well it starts to join the server( the consols starts to pull up) and then I crash.(the usuall window crash screen) and at the bottem it says "File Name: CMAUDIO(08) + 0000314E Error : 0E : 0028 : FF0D00CE" M

Whether or not you're running EAX. (Don't run EAX.): eh?

Please Help Me!!! I really want to play this game but I have no idea how to fix it

    Try putting A3D off (s_disable_a3d / s_a3d 0 ) and try "s_hisounds 0" ? or maybe "s_hisounds 1" if it's already 0. Remember some files are mp3's so I don't know if hisounds should be 1 or 0, or other sound settings.

    Here's a possible fix, backup your config.cfg file, and delete the current one. Also backup any scripts running and delete them, try running HL again and they will be recreated by HL, of course you'll need to set up your controls again.

    If none of that works it's probably a sound card fault? Maybe try getting the latest DirectX or sound drivers compatible with DirectX 8?

    you should really try deleting the config.cfg (making a backup first of course) and retry HL and see if it works.

    Well the A3D this was already off.......and the whole deleat config took me a while to figure out but I deleated it and nothing happen. So I guess ill try to get the umm.."latest DirectX or sound drivers compatible with DirectX 8? " I got a question.....uhh...where do i download the umm...sound drivers compatible w/ directx 8? Also, im D/Ling a 8.1...cuz i got windows ME...
