It's about the same, but so many individual files (wads and .bsps) were changed that it would end up being only ~20 megs smaller if it was a "patch". Plus there's the time making sure the patch works in every conceivable way (a good day and a half was spent on that alone, heh).
Also, to anyone completely new to the game, it's easier to just have a full patch they can't fubar and only one download location. People are dumb.

anyway some of my thoughts for future ns's,might help save everyone ALOT of time or try to:
1.When you open STEAM>Play games>Natural Selection just maybe have STEAM automatically somehow download and install any version/patch needed etc. or whatever.
2.when yer playing in game and ya have alot of nice upgrades n stuff and for some reason i don't know why accidently press F4 and goto readyroom n lose yer upgrades and maybe when you rejoin whatever team ya still have yer upgrades and whatever score you had while u were playing.

On my computer it takes exactly 299 MB's (That's must be a bit more then the custom install, because I have uploaded some other maps too).
I don't know if that is more or (even) less then 2.0?
