Plugins and reshacks.

Just to show you an example of how it would make my study easer just reply like this.

AIM Version: 5.9.3690
Plugin 1: Palfun 6.6.6
Plugin 2: Middle_Man beta 2
Plugin 3: ProfileAMP

My study will show how many people i know use AIM, what version they use, if its modded, and if they use anyother clien to talk thru it.

    Trillian, no plugins at all. I use that tabbed interface skin, which is pretty hot.

    I'm currently using Trillian 0.74 (patch i). Basic, so no plugins or anything. Using the <a href='http://tometheus.com/Trillian/SETi/' target='_blank'>SETi</a> skin.

    Trillian version 3.1 basic, no plugins. I tried Gaim, I decided it wasn't worth switching. I can certainly see advantages to both, and I wouldn't expect people to switch from Gaim to Trillian, either.

    Seriously this program is from the devil. Because it give pjofsky a venue to harass me.

    **EDIT** As if that wasn't enough, I have to turn it off really quickly when I get on, to keep from getting harassed by a million other people.

    I have the stupid thing on right now and am being bombasted by 5 windows. Give me a plugin that removes the STUPID from other people who attack me.

    Well, its never crashed for me. Its not like I'm advocating its usage, I'm just advocating NOT using AIM. The only reason I use marandaIM is because its really lightweight.

    What does MirandaIM use as far as system resources? (I don't have it on my computer.) I started up AIM to see what it uses, and it is currently using 3Mb memory, plus 19Mb virtual memory. Gaim used 6Mb memory, plus 11Mb virtual memory. Trillian used 5Mb memory, plus 21Mb virtual memory. This was done with all of them minimized, running simultaneously.

    According to the task manager MirandaIM is using 4,880KB of RAM while running (AIM only, might increase with other protocols activated) not-minimized. The install itself takes up about 2.23MB of HD.

    Note: for whatever reason, this has dropped to 1,128KB of RAM very shortly after it was started. This jumps to 2,256KB if a conversation window is opened.
