    That's like asking, what would be the point of NS:Source? Starcraft is the best rts game ever, but the graphics are getting a bit old, so now you can combine the best of Warcraft 3 (which is graphics, and 3d:ness) and the best of Starcraft (everything else).

    But Ns:source gets a bunch of other boons. Like cool physics, no limitations on weapons(and therefor lifeforms), great graphics, ease of mapping... probably other stuff that I can't think of right now, as well.
    This... this would just be a graphics update. Nice, but not worth getting 4 games for.

    Well, it does take advantage of something else, like those inter-connected map thingies. Anyone remember the Orc campaign in Frozen Throne where all the maps were part of just one big campaign?

    Same could be applied to Project Revolution.

    Although I AM pondering about that 200 unit limit....especially since TFT has a unit limit of 100 units. That's already overkill on my rig o.O;

    I see your point, and I agree that there is no point in buying 2 games and 2 expantions to play a juiced-up starcraft. But I think that most of the people who are interesed in this mod already have starcraft and/or warcraft 3. And since starcraft with broodwar, is an old game it costs next to nothing (£7.99 delivered from play.com). So if you already have warcraft 3 the price isn't too bad.

    The only concern I have is multiplayer. Because if there ins't a battle.net multiplayer then that would just defeat the whole point of starcraft (zergling rush).

    Yeah, the idea is we already payed for Starcraft and Warcraft 3, so what's the point in NOT having the graphics updated for free?

    It's not free. WC3 sucks so I didn't buy Frozen Throne. Me = screwed, and for no reason. Why require a WC3 mod unless it adds something necessary from a coding standpoint?

    They can make some units use less food. In starcraft there were some units who takes up 8 points of food . Just reduce all the food costs by half maybe. I think you can increase the food limit a little higher though. But my computer can't handle that much units even on the lowest settings <!--emo&:(--><img src='http://www.unknownworlds.com/forums/html/emoticons/sad-fix.gif' border='0' style='vertical-align:middle' alt='sad-fix.gif' /><!--endemo-->.

    I think it would be fair if this mod included features only people with great rigs can play, after all you can get the ugly version by playing StarCraft.

    The reason they include SC and BW is to side step the legality of modding licensed material.

    This way they can say "well we're just jazzing it up for people who want to see a possible StarCraft 2" as opposed to "here's a free carbon copy of a game thats still making money for Blizzard, please don't sue us".

    If anything, direct your comments to Blizzard - they might just turn round and say "you know what fellas, you can release it as a WC+TFT mod instead".
