<div class="IPBDescription">Almost everything up to and during ns</div>All of you I hope remember Secrets Within, which I said I would re-write to make the universe larger, and more interesting to learn about. In my story I hope to write a backstory for the humans, events that happened during the 21st century, how things turned out the way they did, and even some stuff about the time of NS, like plasma, which replaced almost every other souce of electricty, and gasoline, in about year 2020
I also had an idea, which will take a very large role in the re-written secrets within, about a terrorist faction that was assembled after the Nuclear Cold War (which ended aproxomitly 2013). The faction was assembled in hatred if the new world, and all the new technology, and the new way of doing things. But the faction really took off in about 2022, and by that time just about every man-made machine on earth was plasma-powered, Look left, look right, look up, look down, and it's just plasma, plasma, plasma. Plasma is also a man-made gas (which is compressible). SO during the plasma bang hundreds of plasma factories sprung up. Plasma even replaced battery acid.
So, all this is in my story, and much, MUCH more. Currently nothing goes against what's currently in NS, but I ask that nothing in NS be created that goes against my story. That's also for all the other writers out there. I doubt you'll be able to influence Jeff's decision on what is and is not a part of the NS universe by writing its history before he does.

Apart from all that - how can you ask people like me to stick to your story - My maps backstory plays a major role in NS history, I'm not going to change it just because you want to rigth a human history on your own - I would change it if many people wanted it a different way though. Diversity is always more intresting.
While we are forced to conform to the world of NS as told by their offical writer, we ARE writing stories based on NS AND the story on the webpage IS the offical one.
Go ahead and write your history, but don't expect, let alone demand, that everyone will conform to it.
Tzarcon can write his story if he wants, but he'd have to stick to the story written by blah (forgot his name <!--emo&:p--><img src="http://www.natural-selection.org/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/tounge.gif" border="0" valign="absmiddle" alt=':p'><!--endemo--> )
or at least to the universe he created. If my english was a bit better I might write my own NS story......
That was the point of my post - oh and Plasma why?
It's kinda hard for NS to stick with your version when it almost certainly goes against what's aready done. What's on the site isn't the only work Jeff's done.
Also, I'd REALLY be careful about dates, all we know at this point is it's in the near future.
And, about the plasma. I chose plasma because NASA scientists and engineers are allready somehow using plasma as a fuel sorce for the newest space ships. I figured if we can use plasma now in one way or another, then later on heavy research might be done, and a way to use plasma to power everything can be figured out. I also chose the Nuclear Cold War as the time plasma use grows rapidly because One of the countries is certainly going to want to find a way to power all their stuff without spending extremely large ammounts of money on fossil fuels. Because it's an actuall risk we face at this very moment, it's more realistic than anything else I could think of
He has the final word, and based on my communication with him, the stuff you're talking about won't work at all. And you really, really, really shouldn't tack dates onto anything, least you look presumtuious.
