Ns 3 Beta 5 Dedicated Server

<div class="IPBDescription">ns 3 beta 5 dedicated server</div> Hi I'm wanting to start a dedicated server for ns. I have dedicated server installed on steam. And i have the ns_v3_b5_dedicated_server file downloaded.
What i need to know is where do drop the folder. If you reply to this poste please be detailed in the location.

    wow the year is 2005 didn't know we still had to do things in dos. There has to be an easier way. Tryed the link. After typing a whole lot and pressing enter I got the message that my account name had illegal characters. Any thaughts???

    I assume you are talking about your steam account. To create this just make a new steam account by following the directions, but keep it simple. For example, use your normal steam account id with "_server" attached to it. Makes it easy to remember.

    So for example, maybe use "sandwitchead_server" - don't use capitals/non-alphanumeric characters. Keep it simple.

    Yes, keep it simple; I use an e-mail addess for my server username as I explained in the guide.

    As for using DOS; command line is what I'm used to. You can certainly use a gui to create an account for your server, but I think it's easier to explain where information is going if you can see it all written out.
