a special FX sprite compilation
this is a compilation of several miscellaneous sprites used for special effects in NS. i've put a lot of time and effort into this, and i hope you enjoy it. the following legend will refer to the numbered screenshot (included) of each sprite, and give you the filename along with a short description. this gives you the option of choosing which individual sprites you would like to install, as opposed to merely unzipping this into your x:\program files\valve\steam\steamapps\your@email.com\half-life\ns\sprites directory, which would install all of the main replacements listed. if there is an alternate (i.e. recolor) sprite available, the legend will refer you to a file of the same name packaged in the alternates.zip (included).

NOTE: simply unzipping this file into your ns\sprites directory will install these correctly. you do not need to use this legend for anything other than manually installing individual sprites, or any of their alternates. also, the numbered screenshot and legend (readme) are packaged in the .zip

@recon: it's in the pack. the link is directly under the screenshot.
edit: found the old flare i think you're talking about. i've attached blue/green variants to this post. just rename either sprite to "flare3.spr," and you're good to go.
recently reinstalled ns and its re-customization time
