I made 2 amx plugin. I call that "unchain Upgrade" and "gorge free"

It has next effect.

    My plugin has several upgrade cost list.

    it check only that how many user has upgrade

    but skulk has 8 upgrade then he does pay 16 resource for upgrade.

    High lifefrom unit pay more resouce than lower lifeform

    I haven't tried your system yet, but it seems pretty revolutionary, I've never read/heard anything like this... so thats cool... I'll give it a test

    Very interesting, although I believe that this would still overpower aliens just due to the fact Fades/Onos can get all the DEF upgrades and then never die.

    Interesting plugin.

    What happens if someone has upgrades as a skulk and then evolves to a higher lifeform (for example, fade)? Is there an extra cost? are the upgrades lost? or do they remain?

    I ask this because I can see it as an easy way to get many upgrades cheaply ie. You could get 7 upgrades as skulk and then evolve to fade. Cost of 93 res (43 for upgrades + 50 for fade)

    It seems to be somewhat balanced, aliens can make RTs for only 15 res like marines, but start with 15 so Fading/Hiving takes longer.

    Also getting all upgrades can be done at any number of hives, but has a serious res cost with it. Getting 9 upgrades as a fade costs a horrendous ammount that would never happen! Even the second upgrade costs 20 res, seriously limiting your ability to re-fade if you take it.

    It sounds like it reduces the dependance on hives a bit (although META still = win) which is a good thing <!--emo&:)--><img src='http://www.unknownworlds.com/forums/html/emoticons/smile-fix.gif' border='0' style='vertical-align:middle' alt='smile-fix.gif' /><!--endemo--> Also means aliens always need more res, but can set RTs for the same price as marines.

    dms has been broken in b6. free alien upgrades imrpove the skulks ability to fight, thus improving the alliens effectiveness all round. fades no longer do all the heavy fighting. 2 focus skulks can take down a heavy pretty quick if they play it right.

    The only thing I see massivly unbalancing this would be the fact that the aliens can drop all three chambers right off the bat. The incremental res cost of the upgrades should keep the alien rate of progress averaged until the extreamly late game, and if it came to the point where fades/onos had all upgrades, I really don't see how the marines could survive...

    On hyperlarge/slow moving maps such as seige where both sides generally tend to reach thier full potential fairly fast, and epic long lasting games are fairly common, the game would quicly unbalance however.

    To counter the disadvantage of both counts, I think a counter plugin should be made that allows the marines to upgrade more of thier structures (armory and observatory emidiately come to mind) as a counter for the more powerful earlygame WOLs and potentially deadly early superskulks, and also extra upgrades, perhaps to level ten, should be added at an astronomical cost for the hyper high end level upgrades.
