Overall collision detection is a bug the dev team is well aware of, I believe. Also, I think the Onos is intentionally blocked from going over OTowers because its unrealistic, and also requires OTowers and Onos' to be used with a little strategy in mind.

I hate the evolving bug.

I'll be an Onos and i'll research in this order:
Adrenaline or Cereity
Regen
Cloaking

or Cloaking
Regen

On the 3rd evolve, I just die.

well...
what are u thinking of?
making the model of the a little smaller or something else?

Yeah. Onos going up ladders is total BS. That's why they're able to evolve. Run to where you want to attack as a skulk, evolve, destroy. It would make Redemption so much less BS.

I personally would like to see you able to evolve while on walls and unflat surfaces. Can't see why you couldn't stick that cocoon thing on a wall

Huuh? What am I thinking? I'm thinking the dev team will figure something out that'll fix the collision problems. The Onos model is a little too huge, the model could be shrunken a bit while still remaining intimidating, but thats just my opinion.

I haven't heard of the evolving bug. Does the dev team know about it?

[edit] I agree that evolving should be able to be done anywhere, and the new alien should just move away from any nearby surfaces if its larger.

well that not exactly what I was thinking, to try and make "small things" realistic is a joke, its a game and should be played like one

No, the Onos should NOT be able to climb ladders. Part of the strategy of NS is based on realism. Onos' are already restricted in some areas, just as Skulks are only allowed in others.

Quick! Use more logic! It seems to be working!

I'm all outta logic now, but my vulcan mind seems to have done a good job nonetheless. Maybe I'll ask the commander to drop me some more, just in case.

"say_team: comm more logic plz"

Has anybody noticed this on a skulk?

Whenever you are spec'ing a skulk. Look at it's top-back part of it. You will see the tentacles that the Onos uses to paralyze people with.

Heheh

I think onos should have a "recall to the hive" ability that costs RP or something, and has a long warmup period. Just so I don't have to kill myself when I get stuck on towers

The dev teams themselves have said before that they will sacrifice realism for fun whenever possible. I would seriously find it a **obscenity** to run around finding an alternate route to the marine spawn instead of taking the quick n easy ladder.
