<div class="IPBDescription">Why marines hate them</div> Ok ive got a demo of 20 siege cannons attacking 8 defence turrets, it was going on for about 10minutes since every time they all hit one they would heal so everyone went in and we ended up winning.

    I think there is NO WAY 8 defensive chambers could withstand 20 siege cannons if it was not for the bug resulting in siege cannons doing next to no damage some of the time. I honestly don't think they could even survive 2-3 siege cannons.

    As soon as they manage to fix the siege cannons this should be no problem anymore. Infact 12 siege cannons ought to do 20*330=6600 damage right? An offensive chamber has 1200hp or was it 1300? Anyway defensive chambers tend to die faster so they probably have only 1000hp or less (I have no idea)

    Im sorry to say but NS is EXTREMLY buggy at the moment.

    (to structures)
    1) Siege cannons do next to no damage at times
    2) Bile bombs do no damage most of the time
    3) Acid rockets do no damage some of the time
    4) Grenede launchers do no damage some of the time
    5) Xenocide does no damage most of the time
    6) Crouched marines are almost invulnerable in certain situations
    ...all splash damage weapons seem to be bugged in one way or another.

    ...All of em are quite critical, it's still fun to play but these bugs are very annoying.

    Well i have a demo, but its short because i recorded it just as marines broke through and started shooting at them with hmgs, still it is evidence. Where can i host the file?

    I wouldnt call the game extremley buggy, especialy not concidering this is the first BETA of the game.

    It's a BUG. Seige cannons are only doing like 3 damage a shot. Of course 8 def chambers that are constantly healing each other will survive that.

    Eh do mods ever change to not being beta anymore? Ok so all splash damage weapons are extremly buggy then, not the whole mod.

    I wouldn't call it extremely buggy. In fact its very likely that all of those things share a single piece of code (the part that calculates an explosion effecting a radius). So its not all buggy.     This has MORE bugs than any beta Ive seen, still better than most retail programs though *cough windows cough*

    Well the reason yer see'ing most of those splash things do damage, is because their meant to splash, not hit...if you thro it NEXT to something, their gone in a couple shots

    dude calm down on the BS ok? when i make a wall of 5 offense towers backed up with 5 defence towers, just <b>1 siege gun</b> slowly takes stuff out one by one. if you had 2 siege guns you could EASILY take out 8 defense towers.

    sigh, there is no difference at all between 5 and 8 DC's because they only stack up to 3

    That's not true, try standing next to 3 DC when healing and time how long it takes from almost 0 health to full. Then go stand next to 8 DCs and you'll notice you heal ALOT quicker.

    All 8 of them don't heal you at the same time though, but the time between the heals is alot less if there are 8 DS than if there are only 3, so 8 DCs might infact still heal 8 times faster than a lone DC would.

    DC code may need to be tweaked, and siege turrets don't always behave as expected. It'll be fixed, don't worry. As for calling this version1 or a beta... Please think of what "betas" you're comparing NS to (e.g. CS b1) before you start whining about it. NS's first public offering is essentially a complete overhaul of the HL engine... for the amount Flayra changed, the number of bugs is *very* small. They'll be fixed in time; Flay's workin his tail off over here.

    Yea, give the guy some credit. I bet anybody on this forum couldn't make ns less buggy. So stop complaining.
