    NS Team, plz dont do it like Day of Defeat though. It made me so angry, they posted "Soon" like a month before the release. Thats just plain mean. But yes, definatly take your time for I would rather have a great mod that took a while, then a great mod that was rushed with lots of bugs.

    Dang. And I was looking forward to teasing you...

    We learned our lesson with the NSTR2, which was supposed to be released at the end of December. We will not be making any announcements about NS Version 1 unless we know that it is completely done.

    I guess those 2 new alienmodels are sentries?
    Well I think they'd make good sentries anyway, tho they don't seem to be placed very strategical........

    Nope, not sentries... something else.

    Alien condos made out of mouldy doughnuts? Or maybe it's the video rental place, or even the swimming pool... every community's got to have it's own swimming pool...

    Spawn pools how fun!

    Yes, I'll rather have a NS great from Beta and wait.  Hopefully it'll be out before flayraitis takes me over.

    You should set the expected release date around august or something, just so you can give people a pleasant surprise (if) when it comes out much earlier. <!--emo&;)--><img src="http://www.natural-selection.org/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/wink.gif" border="0" valign="absmiddle" alt=';)'><!--endemo-->

    Kass you should learn the first rule of release dates.  It always takes longer than the release date!

    Wow.  That entry really describes the kinds of quick thinking and teamplay that I'm looking forward to in NS <!--emo&:)--><img src="http://www.natural-selection.org/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/smile.gif" border="0" valign="absmiddle" alt=':)'><!--endemo-->

    The alien won.  Remember the first one?

    Stinkcloud = deadly
    Single marine = bait
    NS = win
  • JaciusJacius Join Date: 2002-01-25 Member: 43Members
    Yea, there's no way a single marine could take down a level 3 <!--emo&:p--><img src="http://www.natural-selection.org/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/tounge.gif" border="0" valign="absmiddle" alt=':p'><!--endemo-->

    Maybe Flayra saves the day with some quick commanding, or the alien player is just plain silly <!--emo&;)--><img src="http://www.natural-selection.org/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/wink.gif" border="0" valign="absmiddle" alt=';)'><!--endemo-->

    /me cant wait till tomorrow!!

    yep the lvl 3 alien won easy i think... but of course Superman maybe came and saved the marine <!--emo&:p--><img src="http://www.natural-selection.org/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/tounge.gif" border="0" valign="absmiddle" alt=':p'><!--endemo--> we can allways hope.
  • pielemuispielemuis Join Date: 2002-01-25 Member: 72Members, NS1 Playtester
    I think the marines win, cuz Flayra says there's only 1 person who can save that marine, and that would be the commander...Maybe Flayra quickly places a sentrygun?
  • TalionTalion Join Date: 2002-01-24 Member: 28Members
    That would make welders pretty expensive...
  • 007007 Join Date: 2002-01-27 Member: 116Members
    No Brian was too foolish he'd be beaten by the aliens speed and agility for sure. Welders sound coool too <!--emo&:)--><img src="http://www.natural-selection.org/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/smile.gif" border="0" valign="absmiddle" alt=':)'><!--endemo-->
  • JedisarJedisar Join Date: 2002-03-03 Member: 264Awaiting Authorization
    no way, a skilled and agile marine could handle a flyer <!--emo&:p--><img src="http://www.natural-selection.org/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/tounge.gif" border="0" valign="absmiddle" alt=':p'><!--endemo--> Even with a stink cloud covering a large area.

    hmmm, sounds like it's time for another useless plug!  Why not have the super-gizmo nuclear powered tankmotron?!  This thing can smell baddies at 20000 miles away and has the destructive power of an average world super-power!  WHy, if those aliens don't start quaking in fear, then they're turning to ashes!!!!  Yeah, it'd have plasma interphased cannons, hydrodynamic explosives, thermodine mortar launchers, an electric shield so no-one can touch it, and can make any other type of weapon it wants simply by entering a command!

    This is my impressions of the play test is that the aliens are more power full than the marines.
    I had the idea that the marines would be on the offensive and try to hunt down alien hives but from the reports doesn't seam that way.
    There is not a word about the L4 and the L5, the L3 seams to be the most common alien.
    The maps and models are stunningly beautiful.
    And the NS atmosphere seams to be there. <!--emo&:)--><img src="http://www.natural-selection.org/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/smile.gif" border="0" valign="absmiddle" alt=':)'><!--endemo-->

    I wouldn't bother to read all the posts between pages 1 and 6 cause I'm not a mindless forum freak unlike you people <!--emo&:p--><img src="http://www.natural-selection.org/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/tounge.gif" border="0" valign="absmiddle" alt=':p'><!--endemo-->

    But the developers diaries are purely amazing, I tell you... It's stuff like this that increases the popularity of NS greatly. Has someone sent news to PHL about these yet?

    Aliens sound like they need to be worked on.  Pudgy espically.

    And there are a great deal of Lvl 3s aren't there.  Very few Bobs though.
