    Hmmm, have you seen the <a href='http://www.netflix.com/MovieDisplay?movieid=27900274&trkid=73' target='_blank'>Storm Riders</a>.

    Incredibly famous movie.

    Then there're the <a href='http://www.netflix.com/MovieDisplay?trkid=73&movieid=60001873' target='_blank'>Man Called Hero</a> and <a href='http://www.netflix.com/MovieDisplay?movieid=60020364&trkid=73' target='_blank'>The Duel</a>

Over the top CGI martial art movies.
Mixed reviews, let's just say they're unique.

I saw Ah My Goddess, it depressed me (not realy sure why), I loved it, but it depressed me (the movie that is)

I have Seen FLCL, and as I have said, I hate the "oooo, look we make no sense" (and yes, I know, FLCL actualy makes compleat sense, however you REALY need to know Japanese cultrue, sometihng that I only know sorta)

    @cold night, thanks I will be going through that <!--emo&:)--><img src='http://www.unknownworlds.com/forums/html/emoticons/smile-fix.gif' border='0' style='vertical-align:middle' alt='smile-fix.gif' /><!--endemo-->

I might grab dragon drive (looks crapy, but sounds like it is fun)

And Now for Inf's stuff, what I was realy waiting for
    Last Exile: Added
Azumanga Daioh: Added, I love comedy, and I have a decent grasp on Japanese culture, unfortunatly I am not gona begetting the little book (I Always loved fansubs that explain the jokes )
Irresponsible Captain Tylor: Added, what little I had seen of it looked to stupid for my tastes, but if you say it then I am kin to believe you.
RahXephon: My problem with Eva is that I can't stand the characters, and thus dislike the anime  (added)
Patlabor WXIII: I have seen some of the stuff in the Patlabor universe (don't remember exactly what, was for an anime class/club thingy), liked that, and this sounds good

And I have seen Trigun, Bebop, and Outlaw start (bebop and trigun before CNetwork got me) <!--QuoteEnd--></td></tr></table><div class='postcolor'><!--QuoteEEnd-->
You won't have that problem with RahXephon. I can almost guarantee it. All the characters are good interesting ones without the frustration factor.

As for FLCL yeah, it has to be taken in context, and also just enjoyed for what it is without heavy analysis on its eccentricities. Something about the way they made it just makes it so real and human. Like the whole galactic stuff really isn't the issue, it's more about how this kid is coping with life, his brother gone to america, being raised by his father and grandfather alone, etc. It just speaks volumes.

Have you seen the OAVs of Ah My Goddess? You may want to give them a try, there are 5 of them. They aren't "epic" like the movie, but they explain a lot. Also there is a 26 episode series currently airing that is being fansubbed.

Last Exile has an excellent soundtrack and is extremely well executed. From the beginning where they start to build up the main characters to the grand finale at the end. The animation is good too.

Azumanga Daioh is simply put, one of the funniest things I have ever seen.

Irresponsible Captain Tylor is funny stuff. Kinda reminded me of Photon, dunno why though...

*EDIT* Oh yeah, Noir is good. I enjoyed it as it kinda reminded me of Gunslinger Girls, which was despite what I thought it would be, really pretty awesome. And good god they knew so much European history and locational info. They practically drew a scene in each of the famous areas of the vatican, which blows my mind.

the characters are likable, the plot has decent pieces explained (so you are not compleatly clueless) but still has part that let you go "Wah?"

    Figured you'd like RahXephon.

Go watch the <a href='http://www.animemusicvideos.org/members/members_videoinfo.php?v=15698' target='_blank'>Anime Music Video.</a> I think you will like it. I know I really did. The music is really great too. It features <a href='http://www.azlyrics.com/lyrics/froufrou/mustbedreaming.html' target='_blank'>"Must Be Dreaming"</a> by a group called Frou Frou. Really seems to capture the heart of the series. That and the words to the song are perfect. (Song is in english, it's not done to a japanese song.)
