Freezage! Plz Help

Waited a while at fileplanet but hey, thats what happens when its free <!--emo&:D--><img src='http://www.unknownworlds.com/forums/html/emoticons/biggrin.gif' border='0' valign='absmiddle' alt='biggrin.gif'><!--endemo-->

Anyway, I install it, go to multiplayer screen, internet games, filter, and I join a game. It connects to the server, but before it plays it will have this huge comp load session (I mean constant blinking, making a lotta noise kinda thing).

Al f4 doesnt get me out, esc, ect. Nothing works and I had to restart by hitting the power brick. Now.... I figured, bwah. So I did it again. And again. Still nothing. Quite disheartened, I decided to not even think about NS and go play some FireArms. And guess what... <!--emo&:0--><img src='http://www.unknownworlds.com/forums/html/emoticons/wow.gif' border='0' valign='absmiddle' alt='wow.gif'><!--endemo--> It will connect to the server and give me that same loading crap! Firearms has never done if before, and now I cant play my favorite mod <!--emo&???--><img src='http://www.unknownworlds.com/forums/html/emoticons/confused.gif' border='0' valign='absmiddle' alt='confused.gif'><!--endemo--> So I deleted NS...no effect. Still froze.
I deleted Halflife (The whole folder <!--emo&:0--><img src='http://www.unknownworlds.com/forums/html/emoticons/wow.gif' border='0' valign='absmiddle' alt='wow.gif'><!--endemo--> ) and I reinstalled it and patched it. Which took a few more hours of waiting in line <!--emo&:D--><img src='http://www.unknownworlds.com/forums/html/emoticons/biggrin.gif' border='0' valign='absmiddle' alt='biggrin.gif'><!--endemo-->. So....I now have HL and FireArms installed again, and I want to give NS another shot. But Im afraid it will do the same thing again. Anyone else have this problem or a remedy for it?

Im running this on a Pentium 3 with 64mb of ram (bwah <!--emo&;)--><img src='http://www.unknownworlds.com/forums/html/emoticons/wink.gif' border='0' valign='absmiddle' alt='wink.gif'><!--endemo--> )
The graphics card is crap, its a dell 80 series. But its enough to play Firearms smoothly. Is that the source of my problem? This is wierd. Heeeelp <!--emo&:)--><img src='http://www.unknownworlds.com/forums/html/emoticons/smile.gif' border='0' valign='absmiddle' alt='smile.gif'><!--endemo-->

    same thing happened to my friend. he installed ns and it just hangs at the loading screen. he then tried counter-strike which worked before and same thing. hangs at loading screen. had to uninstall/install half-life and counter-strike to get cs working. ns still doesn't work on his machine.

    let me know if you figure this one out. he's getting sick of me telling him what a great game ns is.
