... registry tweaks that improve bandwith?
the only thing you can do to improve bandwith [other than shelling out $] is making sure you have as few programs that transmit via interweb on as possible
maybe "improving bandwidth" was the choice set of words to describe what im trying to find out. ive heard of registry tweaks that somehow increase your modems performance, such as the "vanburden twaeks" which ive just looked up
Note: This will only optimate some of your settings. You probably even won't notice it.
There is a rumor that you can free up 20% of your bandwith if your using win XP. This is part true. The service that uses up 20% bandwith is QoS. But it only uses 20% bandwith if QoS is sending or recieving data.
I use TCP Optimizer
From SpeedGuide.net:

Just download and run, no installaion required. The program makes it easy to find the best MaxMTU value, test latency and tweak all the important broadband related registry parameters. The Optimizer can be helpful with tuning any Internet connection type, from dialup to Gigabit+ If you need help with the program, read our broadband tweaking articles, the Optimizer FAQ, and/or visit our Forums. As an alternative, you can try one of our generic Registry patches instead.

only thing I could think of pointing you at is dslreports.com (use their tweak tools)
I assume you are trying to eak out every last bit of power from your modem?
