Web Problems.

I"m having some trouble with my webs as a gorge. I'll point up to the sky, spit out a web, and point down and spit out another one.

Some times, I get a web just like I wanted it to be, but a lot of the times I end up getting nothing.

Am I doing this wrong? Also, what's a good way to develop ground webbing that's hard to see?

someone might've put up webs beforehand. You turn your flashlight on as kharaa and webs will brighten up like everything else that is for your team.

I have some webbing information that might prove useful:

There are currently 2 limits on Webs in NS: an area limit, and a map limit.

The area limit dictates that (just like alien chambers), only a certain number can be placed in close proximity. You will have to look up the specific details on the number and range though.

The map limit is just what it sounds like: A hard limit on the total number of webs that can exist in the map at any time.

If either of these limits is reached, then you will be unable to place new webs (even though the webbing sound will still play when you shoot a web).

As well, there exists (or at least existed) a bug with webbing where if you turned on your alien flashlight (default key = "F"), any new webs you place would be completely invisible, even if you toggle your flashlight. I'm not sure if this bug has been fixed, so perhaps someone else could enlighten us.

    The solution I suggest is:
First, make sure your flashlight is off when you are creating new webs.
Next, try moving to a different part of the map to place webs.
Finally, make sure you are not trying to span too large a distance with your webs. Webs can only stretch so far between end-points.

    Hope this helps.

I get exactly the same problem. I shoot lots of web globule thing and they don't show up when I push F, even though everything does.

The next thing that happens is I get a message saying that there are too many webs in the area, even though I can't see any at all, even if I push F and everything else is bright.

I think I'm getting the flashlight bug, since I turn my lights on to see my webs.

I'm 100% sure it's not the area limit one, since I can throw down one or two webs, then I can't see any others. So I move down to another area, and I see nothing.

Ex. Co_Pulse. I web the middle ramp up and down twice, and move on to the ladders. Nothing shows up.

I guess I can blame it on the flashlight then =).
