    Pretty hardcore, 6 shots from a .50cal.

    The slow motion shots were cool to watch with the machine gun the katana was all like "Rarr I am mighty bullet splitting machine omg nooooooooooooo *falls in slow motion*"

    Holy **** on toast.

    ...after the awe has worn off, two things come to mind. 1: you'd just get shot in two places instead of one, if you were fortunate enough to have your sword potitioned exactly where someone shoots you. 2: I wonder how much this is due to the absolute razor-sharpness of a katana blade as opposed to the speed of the bullet striking any sharp edge. I'd be interested to see whether, say, a butcher's knife would have the same effect.

    I guess it's possible to do the math...

    I'm not really surprised since the bullets are made out of lead, which is easy to shape.

    Now if the bullet was made out of steel, I think it would have been different.

    Very well. In fact, it's nigh-impossible to shoot through the armour of a main battle tank with a machine gun. You need something like a sabot round to punch through that.
