Well, now that the forums are up...
Drew and painted this before the NS forums went down. Planned on posting it then, but they went down before I could. Now that they're back up, I just remembered what I was doing, so here it is!

Took me an hour or two. EDIT: My apologies early on for seizures caused by the scanlines.

Good job that came out awsome. I wouldn't call it an Ultra-Heavy tho because the Heavy in NS right now looks bigger than your design. This looks more like leveled up defense, almost heavy. I like the flames and tags on the armor and adds a cool personal touch to the soldier.

An Ultra Heavy I would imagine as a large robot with a cockpit in the stomach that opens like Shirow uses in some Appleseed books. It would be like a minature tank only with legs and 2 hmg level weapons for arms. I see it moving at about Heavy speed and relying on team work to support it. The team would have to watch it's back because it turns slow and also they would have to reload it. If it was in NS2 I would add stuff like jumpjets so it can fly/hover for short periods and have marines be able to attach things to it and take weps/ammo from it. It would also be cool if as it takes damage pieces of it fall off effecting its performance. For instance aliens could concentrate on one specific leg or arm to cripple it or break its weapons. If the team can protect it long enough, once everythings clear they can repair him or take him apart using his parts to modify their own armor and weps. Oh man that would be sweet. eh I'll keep dream'n

Highlight the bottom of my post. Then say something constructive, please, because that tells me nothing.

EDIT: anyways, back on topic, I called it "ultra heavy" because I really didn't have any other name for it... that and I think the normal heavy armor has flawed design (no offense ), but I guess if you put it that it's not bigger, I suppose you could say it's heavier because it has a personal shield unit and is made of heavier materials.

To me it looks more like a suit designed more for hazmat protection than it is for bullets and bites. Not necessarily lighter/heavier or stronger/weaker than the current HA, just meant for a different thing.

Pretty cool, but it doesn't look stronger than the current Heavy Armor, and the "Hell Fire" is in a weird spot.. I wouldn't write anything on my inner thigh.

I really like it! there is some badbehind (damn filter:P) over him. I wouldnt call it an armor, i think of it as a "Armored Suit" Its soooo closed of, no caps and holes like in the default heavy armor.

Its a kind of Medium Armor... and its Sexy!

Materials, damn you, materials! It's got density!

Besides, it's less of a heavier armor and more of a redesigned heavy armor. It wasn't originally intended to go with NS, as attributed by the name, but it kinda fit, so I posted it. I really thought the heavy armor in NS was too "on-the-midpoint" on the line of looking human and looking inhuman at either end. I wanted to make it have a more human appearance.

To me, the original heavy armor kind of looks like... a coke can. Plus, unless the heavy armor is gonna do some tackling, the gargantuan pauldrons are useless.
