    Nah, XSI is pretty good. You get a crappy renderer, but that's about it in terms of comparing it to <u><i><b>industry grade</b></i></u> 3d software.

    Yep the 3DS max 7 box, books, and cds are sitting right next to me...not being installed..for I FEAR it, and I'm too lazy to read, anyone want to post up some VTM's for me?

    It's big download, but it teaches you a lot on how to use 3ds max, without it id still be using milkshape, and I found my models were extremely messy with milkshape, anyways, download that, will teach you everything you need to know to make your own model <!--emo&:)--><img src='http://www.unknownworlds.com/forums/html/emoticons/smile-fix.gif' border='0' style='vertical-align:middle' alt='smile-fix.gif' /><!--endemo-->

    TY you guys I dont know which to use but u gave me some choices. ANd thanks for the info on the pay ones too.     I personally don't use it, but comercial grade open source programs are allways a plus.

    i used it about 4 years ago seemed like a fine program but when compared to 3dsmax its utter crap

    when i last tried it, it said it needed a screen res of at least 1280x1024 to functino properly though
