    Maybe I dont know the whole story though... But all the recent resident evils are just plain bad. I dont remember what the newer one is called, but I do remember that it sucks bawls.

    Its a whole new style of play..
    You get to aim the gun manually, the camera moves with you - unlike all the other RE games where there's a camera in the corner of the room and it follows you, killer graphics, running smart zombies, and much more ! (God i make this sound like an advertisment)

    Aaannndddd... Its a Gamecube exclusive ! :D

    The head person at capcom even said "he'd cut off his head if it wasn't gamecube exclusive"(or something similar)

    It will be coming out on the ps2 in a year.
    Good luck on it looking anywhere near as good on the ps2 though.

    IIRC, the "zombies" are not zombies in RE4.

    There's quite a few 'action' movements you can take (ie diving through windows), enemies move faster and wield weapons, and also work together. The story is also different - I don't think Umbrella Corp is even mentioned in this one, though I could be wrong on that. I'm also told you can die in multiple ways (hello gore) though I'm not sure if that's left in the American version or not.

    You're thinking about Resident Evil: Outbreak File #2, that takes place in the zoo.

    Aside, the graphics look terrific and I can't wait for it to come to the PS2. The in-game video's also look very promising. Read some of the reviews, the upgrade system seems to really shine.

    RE is the only game I'd get a GC for, and I still won't get a GC because I've never played any RE games.

    All the good games are on PC, and those include, and are limited to WoW.

    Even if it is "GC Exclusive," they can always re-release it later for other systems - they just did that with Viewtiful Joe. I'm not sure if the contracts specify that the 'exclusive' license is time-based, but I know you can repackage a game, slap in a few minor differences and re-release it without breaking the 'exclusive' legality (hence DoA2 and then DoA2: Hardcore).

    Doesn't make the Gamecube a worse machine. You can still play Rogue Squadron 3 or Mario Sunshine or The Legend of Zelda until you fall asleep.

    Uh, just an update on Resident Evil (sorry to interrupt this fun little GC is better! no, PS2 is better! No, the PC is better! fight), the game is out, and Gabe of Penny Arcade actually managed to break his WoW addiction through this game.

    Well, not break, put on hold. Regardless, any praise from them is usually deserved.

    I've had the game since yesterday and i'm truly loving it. It's a completely new game compared to the others (which i own too). Plus the game has a solid 20+ hours of gameplay from my understanding even though I'm taking it slow. The weapons, enemies, camera, stories everything on this game is outstanding. One of the best games I've played on a console in a very VERY long time.

    I've been playing thorugh the game, and everything about it is spectacular. The graphics, gameplay, story, voice acting, controls, EVERYTHING. I'm going to go so far as to call it the best modern console game (excluding NES/SNES of course).

    I got a broken PS2 given to me, and it took me 6 months to bother even getting the FREE repairs for it. 6 months later I've only played about 4 games on it.
