If memory servers you played Planetside for a while didn't you?
If so you need to create a new Sony Station Account, any existing accounts that had PS linked to them are not eligable.

Create A new Station Account and then go to the SOE store Press Subcriptions then type in the code!

If it means anything, I'm running on 2GB's of RAM, an AMD64 3500+, and WinXP home edition.
Also, what kind of mobo do you have? I ask this because I was also advised to uninstall all the little MSI programs than ran the various doodads on my nForce2 chipset. I'm not sure which step fixed the problem, as I did both at the same time. (kekeke;)
I'm running on a Gigabyte motherboard, the exact specs of it (chipset and that sort of thing), I'm not really sure about.

Maybe it's "dieing" because people won't give it a chance.
Defend a base that's attacked by both the other sides.
Be the gunner in a Magrider(I swear, this is the single most fun thing there is in planetside)
Spam plasma grenades hopelessly, preferably onto BFRs so they get annoyed. If youre lucky someone might force their shields down to 0 so your plasma starts damaging the parts of the BFR.
Be part of an Air Cavalry squadron, taking over a tower or whatever you want.
Do "insane ANT runs", in that you try to bring an ANT in to a base that's being mauled like there's no tomorrow. I did this once or twice. Felt like a hero.
Fly a Galaxy into a random enemy vehicle. They'll be shooting at you, then realize your intent. You can almost SEE their eyes widening right before the impact...
