To give some one an idea of how it sounds, I was thinking of writing some marine side lyrics to "Ganstas Paradise". Any one who has heard Weird Al's "Ohmish Paradise" would know the lyrics are extremely adaptable.
I can't decide with this ons rap, who (if ever) would be the rapper to this song. It sounds abit like an MOP song because of the chorus. Who knows <!--emo&:D--><img src="http://www.natural-selection.org/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/biggrin.gif" border="0" valign="absmiddle" alt=':D'><!--endemo-->
I was thinking more of a heavy industrial beat to go with the onos, but if if not that maybe <a href="http://www.mcchris.com/tunes.html" target="_blank">MC Chris</a>. Love his Fett's Vette.
A principle concept of rap rhymes are metered syllables between lines. Ideally every line would have the same number of syllables. Maybe that's to much too expect. Equal number of syllables between the two lines in a rhyme pair? No? At the very least the excess or deficit of syllables should be coverable by the rapper's speed, but I can't figure out a way to keep the rhythm with, "I've paralyzed your ### and you've turned to stone Yeah dat's right The portal's gone and your all alone And I'm not not E.T. helping you phone home."
However, if you have 22s and a band aid on your face when you perform this I don't think anyone will care.
Good points LC. The "Yeah dat's right", is an intentional break. It stops the flow of the words in a similar manner as what the verse is describing: the onos paralyzing the marine, and the marine's suddenly noticing he's alone. The missing empty beats following the break represent the silence where the marine can do nothing as the onos approaches, skipping a beat as does the marines heart.
