I could be completely wrong, but it looks like the pistol is modeled from the ones from Trigun (it's been done before, and it sure as hell looks like it). So if you want to get TECHNICAL, the pistol uses alien technology (but for NS sake, we'll just say nanites), so the bullet is hammered at the top and ejected at the bottom for no better reason than it looks damn cool.

It looks identical to Vash's, sorry. Besides, have you seen a revolver with the useless plate at the top aside from Trigun?

It's not actually useless, the revolver that Vash's .45 Long Colt was based on, the Mateba revolver, also has an underbarrel, with a reverse hammer configuration, some of which if would care to study your revolvers, did have a hammer near the top of the cylinder, and of coarse the actual PIN mechanism that contacts the stamping on the back of the cartridges is on the bottom of the cylinder...
The top of the revolver is used as a counter weight for the recoil of the weapon, even though Mateba revolvers usually didn't fire heavy loads, firing the bottom instead of the top and having weight on top of that, makes for a drastic change in the recoil's torque applied to your hand when firing, meaning hardly ANY barrel rise after firing, so you could keep a steadier aim and fire off all 6 rounds at your target in a quicker period of time <!--emo&;)--><img src='http://www.unknownworlds.com/forums/html//emoticons/wink-fix.gif' border='0' style='vertical-align:middle' alt='wink-fix.gif' /><!--endemo--> not to mention you need something to mount those iron sights on <!--emo&:p--><img src='http://www.unknownworlds.com/forums/html//emoticons/tounge.gif' border='0' style='vertical-align:middle' alt='tounge.gif' /><!--endemo-->

I understand your anger and frustration.
You spend hours on making things that make people go "OHHHH !!!", "WOW !!!" and ask help to finish it but people, as in most cases, keep saying "When it is going to be done?" when in fact no one (well, almost no one) dares to help you. They expect you to do everything for them when in fact you simply cannot.
I know by experience as I too had asked help on my project but no one showed up.
I completely forgot about the Mateba, but the plate on top (as in, the casing for Angel Arms seed thing) is what makes everyone who has seen Trigun say "Hey, that's the revy from Trigun!"... and this is off topic (dun kill meh?), but it's be nifty to see a (and probably impossible to make) Angel Arm SG or GL, no?
