Just making discussion man. Curious what everyone else uses. Threads don't have to be "usefull".
Well, 1 thing I remember from the various mouse threads that used to swarm these forums is that mouse sensitivity [edit]alone[/edit] means nothing. A combination of the actual mouse (brand & type), windows settings and Half-Life settings determine the sensitivity of the mouse. If you want to compare mouse settings, try something else, like degrees turned as a freshly spawned lvl 1 marine in a CO_ map when moving the mouse 15 centimeters to the right over a rough surface with a steady velocity of 0.1 m/s. Even then the results will be hard to compare (and hardly worth the effort).
At least we can talk about mouse type, for whatever use that may have. I'm using a logitech optical mouse with 2 buttons + scroll thingy and a cord. It runs on 5 V DC at 100 mA and was manufactured in China at 2002/01/03. Its M/N designation is M-BJ69, its P/N value is 830667-000 and the S/N coeficient is LZB30821676. It's PT, FC, VCI and CE approved.
I dunno, guy, even if I up my sensitivity by .2 in Half-Life I can notice a difference. (which is did just recently from 7.1 to 7.3, since I was having a hard time keeping up with flying skulks)
The reliable MX500 Optical Mouse. I've moved around in the range of 1.0 to 1.5. Lately I've been using 1.25 a lot, though I might up it when I have the time to mess around with my sensitivity again. I sometimes run out of mousepad, but I have crappy pads and don't feel like shelling out big bucks just for a pad.

Generic optical wheelmouse, in-game sensitivity of 25. (That's 1440 degrees of rotation cross-pad, or 4 complete 360s).
I also have my m_pitch set to 0.04 and my m_yaw at 0.022, since vertical displacement is harder than horizontal, on a mouse. Really helpful when that fade blinks straight up to try to throw you off.
Comments
marine sensitivity = 6.7
alien sensitivity = 6.2

sens is a little lower than default. no accel, windows sens is pretty low to be honest.
this is propably compensated by the fact that the mousepad has almost no friction at all =/ (which is a good thing)
