<div class="IPBDescription">A good read!</div> The good old guys at <a href='http://www.halflife.org' target='_blank'>http://www.halflife.org</a> have posted an <a href='http://www.halflife.org/articles/viewarticle.php?id=100' target='_blank'>article</a> about NS and the popularity of it. It's a good read and you all should check it out.

    Compared to what some mods do, NS was broadcasted well, but not hyped. (read: RCTW). It was well known to many people, but not every person who used a computer on Earth knew about it.     Yeah, it wasn't hyped that much as far as I could tell. Maybe in the half-life CS circles it was, but I would have never known about it if I didn't read Penny Arcade.

    Can't say NS was hyped. Hyped would be, "**obscenity**! I'm not gonna' download this thing just because I can't get away from their damn ads!" The PR Blitz was more of a very fast and hard, "Hey! Look! It's Natural Selection and it rocks! Darwin only wishes he came up with this!"

    EDIT:

    PS. Why is "damn" with an "it" added on to the end censored while "damn" is not? That just seems kind of weird.

    I knew about NS, but I didn't really pay much attention as school was getting more and more frustrating. but when it came out and I played it, I was hooked. If they "Hyped" it up, I didn't notice.

    I don't think they ever made a strip for it. They just talked about it a few times on the news section.

    The PR work for NS was done pretty well methinks. Quite a few interviews before release and some people from <a href='http://www.planethalflife' target='_blank'>Planet Halflife</a> did sorta hype it, or was at least very enthusiastic about it. For me, I was anticipating the release of the mod cause of the possiblities the CC had for teamwork.
