<div class="IPBDescription">Yes, with improved animations</div> After releasing the first version of the magazine held animation (<a href='http://www.unknownworlds.com/forums/index.php?showtopic=65731&hl=magazine+held' target='_blank'>1st version link</a>), I stopped making customizations for NS. After T2K came back again, I finally got the motivation to make something for NS. So I decided to start with my old magazine held LMG, since I wasnt too satisified with the animation. I've improved the animations quite a lot, check it out.

PS- This is a T2K exclusive item, please do not host this!
PS2- All these animations are done in milkshape.

Are you sure? I wasnt informed of that, I've been kind of away from the NS community for a while now. And hey, half of the animation releases on this forum this past few weeks are all your's.

    1) Overall the animation is too fast, try to make it slower and less complex, usually makes it look more natural.
    2) It does look kinda weird when he first drags the clip against him and all of a sudden it comes from the left side of the screen.

uh, the things i can think of atm. I like V1 more tbh, V1 is sweet.

The only thing I can comment on is: do you actually wear sunglasses whilst playing NS?

    That gamma is ridiculous.

You want slow? *changes fps to 20* Weee, now the animation cuts off midway. (j/k)

Well the animation does have him drag it toward him to the bottom left of the screen, but I guess that's hard to see in game.

Yea im sure, me and del were talking about it last night on IRC.

You can smooth out animations a whole bunch by adding keyframes inbetween the ones you already have and move them just barely and it will kinda make them curve a bit, making them look alot more fluid. Plus using 'operate using selected joints only' helps in small things like moving fingers/bolt of the gun on the fire animation.

That curve "trick" is really unreliable, keyframes should not be assigned one after another, that will just confuse the smooth controller. 3D max has a built in curve function which lets one adjusts curve.

EDIT: I had to adjust the brightness of that pic in photoshop, because the original was too dark.

EDIT2: The best way to make an animation smooth in milkshape is to add A LOT of frames. Also be sure to stubb correctly.

Then show us how smooth you can make your animations then using your techniques <!--emo&:)--><img src='http://www.unknownworlds.com/forums/html//emoticons/smile-fix.gif' border='0' style='vertical-align:middle' alt='smile-fix.gif' /><!--endemo-->

i'm not doing exclusives, it was a childish thing for me to stop, and there is no benifit from it at all... considering i don't get paid, you dont' get paid, and i've gotten tired of dealing with the additude i've gotten from other people about hosting models exclusivly...

anyway, on a cheerful note, wow, looks like i don't need to mirror them, since it's already on the site
