"When we looked at the first day after the election, Nov. 3, our Web site hit a new high, almost double the previous record high," immigration ministry spokeswoman Maria Iadinardi said on Friday.

On an average day some 20,000 people in the United States log onto the Web site, www.cic.gc.ca -- a figure which rocketed to 115,016 on Wednesday. The number of U.S. visits settled down to 65,803 on Thursday, still well above the norm.

    Wow, people really are dumb... Personally, if Kerry were elected and I had any money, I'd of moved to Mexico, so each to his own.

    I'll start the flames. First there are elections in Afghanistan, then John Howard gets reelected in Australia, then I hear Arafat will soon be dead, then GWB gets reelected America, then it would seem all those I despise the most are packing up and leaving for "I have no impact on the world" Canada - and HL2 comes out in just over a week.

    If Michael Moore had a heartattack, I do believe the pleasure centres in my hypothalamus would explode.

    It's a blatant generalization, but based on fact. A significant number of people who voted for Bush were white evangelical christians. Out of all people who identified themselves as evangelicals (23% of voters), 78% voted for Bush.

    To the topic: yeah, If I were in America I would consider heading north, if only for a short term, a few months. Better than staying there and constantly hearing political bullcrap flying around.

    To those who say, go, we don't want you. Shut up.

    And then off topic: <!--QuoteBegin--></div><table border='0' align='center' width='95%' cellpadding='3' cellspacing='1'><tr><td><b>QUOTE</b> </td></tr><tr><td id='QUOTE'><!--QuoteEBegin-->you lost, live with it and stop bashing the Republicans and Bush.<!--QuoteEnd--></td></tr></table><div class='postcolor'><!--QuoteEEnd-->

    Seeing as how the democrats lost by a small percentage and they were already bashing the republicans for 4 years straight, how about no? Why should they suddenly just stop?

    How are immigration policies for the UK, out of curiousity?
