<div class="IPBDescription">So one sided...</div> Nancy has got to be the worst map of em all. It's soooo god damn hard for marines to win on it! In fact I've never seen a marine victory on it. What about the rest of you? I would like to know wht usually happens on your servers.

It´s the one with the unnamed hive and Subspace array hive, and the always popular Mess Hall area.
I had 2 games on Nancy last night, both as alien. We won one game and lost the other. Both times it was almost the same teams. I wouldn´t call it uncalanced.
I would have to agree on that if i was to choose which team wins more often. If the marines manage to take over Mess Hall and guard it heavily, aliens will have a bigtime problem winning. And that resource node near the unnamed Hive is also important to the marines.
I think Nancy is possibly slightly skewed in the favor of the aliens, mostly due to the HUGE vent network. Once you learn it (*I'm* still learning it, so I doubt any of you know it by heart yet), you can get almost anywhere in the level through the vents. Mother hive, in particular, is very hard to hold as Marines thanks to the FIVE (I think) possible entrances, none of which are weldable.
Nancy is awesome for the Kharaa . . .
All the 3 Hives are very close to one other . . .
I would Bast is in favour of Marines . . .
The mess hall fight tends to get ... messy. One of the few maps where I like to see an offensive Gorge in mess hall - forcing the marines to get HMG/GL before getting more than 2 resource points usually wins the game for the aliens.
It's a map that rewards aggressive fighting from both sides. If the marines wait until their home is secured before moving to the chokepoints, they are pretty much dead.
I also played about a half-dozen games as Kharaa on nancy and we utterly raped the Marines.
All last night.
Now granted they didn't have a good commander, but still.
Regardless, I don't think nancy is imbalanced; the marines just can't turtle on it the way they think they can.
Exactly. And most marines turtle heavily because of the skulk rush threat. I played a game on here as marines, we lost pretty badly because the commander turtled so heavily. Next round (almost the exact same teams), the marines were all whining and ready to give in. I stepped up as commander and won it. Not that I am SuperCommander or anything, just that I didn't allow us to hide in the base while the Aliens secured the key points in the map.
Good lord dude, if your going to whine about something, whine about something WORTHFUL!
K,thanks....
If you really think so....make that map, I'll be happy to watch you try to win as marines on it.
Oh, stick the marine start down in a pit, with a single ladder leading up out of it, tall enough to almost kill a marine that falls off.

Give me an IP.
Don't you think that's comparing apples to oranges?
if aliens take over mess hall , just set sieges near them and overtake them.
Conversely, the aliens can use this for Defense Chambers to heal through walls. But these chambers can also be blasted in the same manner with Siege Turrets ;p. The vent system does allow skulks passage through most of the rooms in the map, but it really isn't *that* helpful. But I haven't quite learned them yet.
The map is also dark. Dark is good for aliens. Some walls are colored like skulks. Dark + skulk-colored-walls = hard to hit skulks. Alien sided there.
The map isn't one-sided, because it's possible to counter almost any strategy. It all comes down to the team. Although it is a bit hard to get at a Siege Turret that is around 6 corners, with 20 sentry turrets in the way ;p
Nancy has been some of my most fierce skulking games. What do I mean by fierce? Where I'm constantly moving, from area to area, holding back the enemy. The only other map that does this is eclipse. Both of these maps I love, both as alien and marine. Again, marines can take down any n00b alien team (especially in nancy), and n00b alien teams are more common than you would think. Personally, I've never lost an alien game when my team was listening to me/showed understanding. That's 50+ games, post-patch.

No No Zergling rushes are better on Caged, especially if you get Sewer hive. And on Eclipse if you get Eclipse Command.
Those are the only to maps ive ever been on a team that successfully won a game in 2 minutes.
[ It was 5v3 at start, but my team wouldnt rush]On Caged one time i nearly won the game myself i was so dam fast, that was fun. Sucked tho cause all they had was a commander left cause i killed the IPs so i went to kill his CC, but then someone joined my team, which allowed another Marine to join, and i didn't see him. He built a IP and before i new it i had 3 marines blasting me to hell. We won tho, with 2 hives and in about 10 mins.
Dat was funage.
