I noticed that each team has a point total. I couldn't find anything about it on the FAQ or anywhere in the forums, so I was wondering if anyone knew how the points are calculated or if they even mean anything.

I think they go by resources collected, and kills. I mean ...it would make sense.

think the total is just kills? maybe resourse nodes capped too.

Total kills, as far as I know.

points go by total resources collected for the team.

do you have anything to back this up? if so does it apply for marines and aliens?

I think it's just the kills, or something..
It's good, that the marines doesn't see thei k/d ratio <img src='http://www.unknownworlds.com/forums/html/emoticons/smile.gif' border='0' valign='absmiddle' alt='smile.gif'>

You can also track them in the server logs, as a server op. This portion will also be getting cleaned up in the 1.02 server patch to match the HL logging standards a bit better.

marines can see their kills by typing "status" in console. a bit hard to read though.
