what do you guys think?

Radeon 9600. 512MB RAM is enough already.

9600 Pro is a nice card. Be warned though. I've found a couple of games (take Halo for example) run a lot better on the GF4 than the 9600Pro.

it loks like it's rather slow ram though.

Depending on how much you're planning to spend, i'd get 512Mb of faster RAM, depending on what your Mobo supports.

Video card, again, depending on what you want to spend, but try not to get anything lower than a 9600

how much money can you afford to spend?

I really think a new motherboard and ram will you do good. Changing processor in the process isn't a bad idea as it will save you bucks in the long term (Socket A is going bye-bye)

I got my Case and PSU from Here, good delivery, only took 1-2 working days to arrive.

Your motherboard will somewhat limit your options. My brother used to have that model, if memory serves me, it's only AGP4X, and ECS isn't known for their quality.

If you have the money get:

Msi k8n neo-platinum2 socket 939AMD
geforce 6800 gt/or x800 pro
90nm 3000+ amd "winchester"
two sticks of 512 corsair or better (not really a ram expert)
Seagate sata 200gb hd
maybe a nice dvd burner too
and a nice case.

That will be able to run games like HL2 and stalker really nice

*drools*

I think I'll keep my case, as goes for the HD & cd/dvd drives, but that mobo (Msi k8n neo-platinum2 socket 939AMD) seems very nice though xD

Yeah definatly go MSI or Asus for a Mobo.
Heck if you have to money go GeForce 6800 Ultra Extreme or Radeon X800 XT-PE.
And more realisticly go 1GB of RAM.
