    A referral link in the sense that by signing up through that link, he gains something in the game. You could still go to <a href='http://www.kungfumadness.com' target='_blank'>the main page</a> to sign up and play.

    No, you just get a bit of extra experience when people who sign up for the game through your referral link level up and stuff.

    But the link I gave you wasn't my referral link. A referral link is IN the game for when you want people to become your students, but that wasn't the link I gave. The link I gave was the one where you sign up by yourself just to play, not you join my army.

    That's in the game, but if you just sign up and play, no, it's not. Once you get good enough in the game you can be a sensei, and you give people your link to click and they become your students. Once you get 5 students you can join a dojo. Yes, you do get stuff when your students log on and win battles, but that's not the link I gave. Unless I made a mistake, I am 99% sure that isn't the link.
