Onos Devour - Messes My Sound Up

<div class="IPBDescription">help?</div> it sounds like tis the room_type thnig but changing it still doesnt put it back to how it was and it doesnt go away after i leave ns either ? its the ame if imd ead ns ee it happen2 sum1 else

    it makes really **** echo from then on when i get devoured or when im spec n sum1 gets eaten that im watching - it doesnt go away

    well when i get eaten by an onos it does that but what hes finished eating me then it the sound is gone.

    I get the same thing, the echo goes away when I respawn though...

    If I had my SB drivers installed, I could go through the steps to turn off the echo once you've left the game, but... I don't.

    For future reference, the bug is caused by the AC97 audio drivers. The solution is to turn of EAX support in the steam Audio pannel.

    If the game ever gets stuck in "echo" mode you can also turn it off by opening the console and typing, I think it's, "room_type 0". A lower number means less echo, a higher number means more echo.

    Since what? Sine you put room_type 0 in console?

    Just a note - It was very difficult for me to understand what you were typing, because there is no tangible break in the "sentences". You will get a lot more help if what you post is readable.

    If you get devoured, simply drop the console and type room_type 0, hit enter, then type stopsound. Do this once you've spawned back in after death from devour or the onos died/redeemed and you are free. This fixes the issue temporarily, someone else mentioned the permanent fix.
