Well, when you're in the command chair, f is a default commander hotkey, so you may have issues with that.. Check that you have your microphon plugged into the proper jack in the back of your pc, and that it's enabled in your sound hardware.

what headphones do u have? some headphones have built in mic mute built right into the headphone which is usually turned on when you buy it. also, check that you have voice_enable 1 on. chances are you do but WHO KNOWS!!! <!--emo&:D--><img src='http://www.unknownworlds.com/forums/html//emoticons/biggrin-fix.gif' border='0' style='vertical-align:middle' alt='biggrin-fix.gif' /><!--endemo-->

check that your mic works outside of HL and NS. Go to the volume control in windows and unmute the microphone. you should then hear your self talking if you say something into the mic. or just turn ur speakers up and if you hear a high pitched evilnoise, its working. then you know its just the game.

some keys won't work while commanding for my voice comm i use "q" and while i'm commandin my voice comm key is "Ctrl" try binding it to something the commander shortcut keys are not bound to.
