anyway, when i got XP i saw this "pretty" now look and instantly thought "green start button? whats with the ugly 3d look?" and so i tried to get windows looking normal again, i was sucessful. but so comes "unique" Yahoo, looking like an Xp window, but i dont want that... at all... SO how do i.. turn the left, into the right?

    Ack, please use .png, or at least .jpg... my retinae are now seared beyond redemption.

    Perhaps the XP candybar-look is integral to the XP version of AIM? I've never used it myself, so I'll just ask - aren't there any aesthetical settings in the program?

    And, if nothing works, may I suggest you try <a href='http://gaim.sourceforge.net/about.php' target='_blank'>Gaim</a> instead?

    I don't know if you can change the looks of the Yahoo Crapsenger, perhaps you can try out <a href='http://www.miranda-im.org/about/' target='_blank'>Miranda</a>.

    i use yahoo because everyone i know uses it, its better than MSN.
    you CAN change how the window looks, i have a few skins with me, but like you said the "candybar" look is in all yahoo skins.

    To use the Yahoo IM service you don't have to use YIM. Use another client like those mentioned, or Trillian.

    I recommend Trillian if you are content with staying with the Yahoo Messaging Service.

    remove the XP "Luna" theme by going into display properties and selecting "Windows Classic" in the Appearance section.

    you see, the ugly XP looking windo is a Yahoo skin, the rest is already windows classic.

    I don't like trillian, it hase some (ugly) eyecandy stickied to it.
    Miranda has a simple windows-classic look and has tons of options, the file transfer works too (had some problems with trillian).

    Trillian pro has more features such as plugins for various enchancements, [a lot more] smileys, support on their forums, updates for more plugins and such

    He speaks the truth. What you are looking for is miranda, it uses the windows theme.

    you a smart cookie! game seemed very... corny... but it was good. i did want something diffrent too, but the word "lycan" and "not werewolf, but half wolf half human" kina confused the guy, i learned a lot since then....
    trillian, yeah, not enough options like yahoo has, yahoo has just been updated with a lot of stuff, and trillian dosent have any of it. ill see if maranda is what i hope it to be.
