I got pretty much the best you can get of everything and it's OC'ed, so I run CS:S at a constant 120fps at 1600x1200 6xaa 16xaf all maxed.

I'm on an AMD Athlon 2800+ XP with 512 ram and a Radeon 9600 Pro.

I can get CS: Source to look pretty good, though I turned down a few settings for the sake of smoother play. Doom 3 was lovely on high settings, I just had a little lag here and there, nothing terrible

May I suggest an upgrade on the video card anyways? **** man, get a 9600 if at all possible...just sell your 9200 and the difference shouldn't be too bad.

Yeah I turned my CS:S settings down to DXlevel 7 and settings on low and in stress test I get 188 fps easy.

Talking about computer specs. I may have oc damaged my 9800 pro can some one with the same card go play CS:S then max all grafics settings even resolution and then come back and tell me the fps. I keep getting 10fps at the beginning of video stress test, while others with crappier cards and comps get more.

I got a 1.4Ghz AMD
Radeon 9600XT
768 Mb SDRAM

Running cs:s in 640x480

FPS: 30

:\

So is my computer good enough for hl2? no, not really.

AMD 2700+ (2.16 ghz)
512 mb DDR
Radeon 9700

I really have no idea how it's going to run. I know my video card is probably good enough, but should I get more RAM or a better CPU?

Since Doom 3 ran as smooth as my thin brown during my last stomach flu, I assume I will have no problem running HL2 on my PC.

P4 3.2 Ghz
1GB Ram
Sapphire Radeon 9800 Pro 128 MB

1.3ghz Duron with 256mb of SDRAM and a GeForce 4MX.

Bwahahahahahahahahah. No.

I was going to get a new mobo, CPU and RAM earlier this year. But then I found out that everything inside was glued together, so I went and brought a slab of GameCube titles instead. Kinda regretting that now.

You'd think I'd be able to run HL2, but I only score 2000 3DMarks. Don't know why, but this computer sucks something fierce. Need to figure this out before HL2 ships or I'm doomed to never play the game.

...I get to play Doom 3's demo at its lowest resolution and lowest settings with just a bit of slowdown (...you know, when turning corners, seeing more than 3 things at once and when lots of light changes are taking places...)...so woot me. I think the RAM is the main problem over here...

You all lose.

PIII 733 Mhz
256 MB RAM (was 512 before, now halved, due to problems with the other stick)
GeForce 4 MX

Yup... Time to upgrade. And no, I haven't tried CS:S.

EDIT: Damn, 2_of_8 beats me...

No, it's not good enough, at all.
Pentium 3, 533 Mhz
256 MB SD-RAM
ATI Radeon 9200 SE (128 MB)
20 GB HD

I'll be able to run HL2 for sure.
Nvm, not run. Probably slowly crawl.
