instead of whining "OMG THEY STOLE OUR PRECIOUS TEXTURES" you should see this as a chance of cooperation...
they can have some textures, we possibly get some models in exchange...

Hows a Kharaa supposed to fly one of those things? Their claws will go through the leatherette captains chair and make awful scratches on the genuine mahogany dashboard!
Besides, the poor Onos will have to be balanced precariously on the roof rack!
Textures are stolen? That looks mostly like concept art not really involving "textures" at all.
Besides its not as if the ns "industrial spaceship" look hasn't been around for 20 years in movies and video games.
And besides THAT ns is a sweet game so who WOULDN'T want to "steal" from it? If a mod maker has the vision to see what other mods have done well and learn from it to create bigger better things faster they should be applauded (while remaining within the bounds of copyright laws of course <!--emo&:)--><img src='http://www.unknownworlds.com/forums/html//emoticons/smile-fix.gif' border='0' style='vertical-align:middle' alt='smile-fix.gif' /><!--endemo-->.

Eternal Silence’s captain will probably influence the battle on a larger, macromanagement-oriented scale. He will not have to worry about granting individual gun requests, but he will have to worry about both the interior and exterior battles that are raging. All the kids who are yelling about the NS textures already because they DIDNT read the other pages:
THEY ARE PLACEHOLDERS!
They are NOT stealing the textures, only using them in place of textures they havent MADE yet! When HL2 SDK comes out, they will create textures. Otherwise, they are just being used as a substituation.

Sorry, I was wrong. I read the first two or so pages, skimmed the rest, and then posted here.
But, I don't think this violates the rules about distributing NS material. After all, it's only concept based on material; none of the material itself is actually present. It's kinda like posting a screenshot of NS somewhere: it includes NS material, but isn't the same as posting the actual material.

Ok, now I've edited the first post in glowing yellow letters... hopefully we can now just talk about this mod here, and stop talking about OMGZ STOLEDED TEXTUARS!
Hmmm some of you guyes need to read the pages more and get more info about mods before you post. There is another thread going before about Insergency Mod, no need to go around bashing Hl2 mods.
Comments
At least i'll have something familiar to play on the HL2 engine...
I mean, hey, it's not like NS is doing something wacky like porting to the HL2 engine, is it?
