I Wanna Get Into Making Skins

<div class="IPBDescription">a few questions</div> I think making skins would be fun. What do you need to know? I know nothing about it. Do you need to know C++ or anything similar. What tool do you use? Is there a site that tells you the basic? I think skinning would be real cool.. Are making player models and gun models complety different? Do they have anything in common? thanks for answering my stupid questions
