Can't Wake Up In The Morning?

includeinclude aka RpTheHotrodDallas, TX Join Date: 2003-01-08 Member: 12027Members, Constellation, Reinforced - Shadow, WC 2013 - Shadow
I have a difficult time getting up in the morning.

SO...I went out and bought myself a CD player alarm clock.

So I threw in some things to blare in the morning that will absolutely force me to get out of bed to run across the room and shut it off. Just in case I'm still asleep, I added in some backup songs.

Remember, this can be heard throughout the entire house.

Every other time except for in the morning, I know I need to wake up early. The problem is, when it is the morning and I just woke up, I am NOT the same person. It is like Dr. Jerkyll and Mr. Hyde. When I wake up, I will pretty much do anything to shut off that darn alarm clock and go back to sleep.

So I have to trick myself. I put the alarm clock on the other side of the room. I'm sure if it wasn't terribly loud, I would just try to sleep with the noise too. So I turn the volume up really loud so I am forced to get up. By then, I'm already up, and hopefully I'm awake enough to keep myself from going back to sleep.

I'm bothering to download this on my 64/32kbit connection because Stewie says it's funny. If it's not he will have his ThinG signature rights revoked.

// I'll update tomorrow when I manage to download all 3.3 mb's of it ^_^

//I did find that to be rather amusing, however, with an abrupt and boring ending. Needs some more of you shouting at yourself.

STAR TREKKIN ACROSS THE UNIVERSE!!! lalalallallalala

THERES KLINGONS ON THE STARBOARD BOW lallalal

    OMG THAT SONG

I knew somone who had that song in their cd alarm clock.

The person could sleep through the Kharran invasion if need be.

One morning I was awoken to that after working a 12 hour night shift (that got extended to over 14 hours becasue it was super busy lets arrest every retard/uncooperative person in the city night) and all I wanted to do was sleep.

and the person did not get up to turn it off.

Alarm goes off.... at first Im like, wth is that? whats going on...
About 2 min 30 Seconds later I lost it.

I was like OMG GET THE (bad word) UP AND TURN THAT (bad word) OFF NOW BEFORE I (another bad word, same as the first bad word) BATON BASH IT.

And yet the person would not wake up.

oh the agony, we had bunk beds and i was up to high to reach down and turn it off.

Still too lazy to climb down and turn it of, I snagged a pair of handcuffs out of my belt that was hanging on the corner post and with one end opened, I reached down and snagged the power cord pulled up to get to the small cd player and pulled the whole thing up to me so I could shut it off. I then threw it under my bed smacking my roomate in the face with it.

I usually set my TV to wake me up and hide the remote somewhere. Then i hide my alarmclock somewhere too, and my cellphone. All tinging with like 3mins intervals.
    Works.

Woah NOW I remember that. Yeah, isolated yells sound dumb. They always do, unless it is a straight out roar of anger or something or scream of pain or terror. A yell that is intended to be enthusiastic always sounds stupid if you take it by itself. That's part of the reason people don't yell in public unless everyone else is yelling, as it is socially unacceptable and embarrassing. I really can't laugh at Dean for doing that, because I would hate to have to be embarrassed about something like that.

Still makes for a good remix/alarm I suppose.

Brought this topic back up because I have a request:
I'm going to be in serious trouble tomorrow morning. You see, when I sleep, I sleep. I have a habit of setting 2-3 alarm clocks, making my roommate(s) wake up to slam me over the head with a pillow until I wake up. Yesterday I felt what seemed like a mosquito bite on my back after I got out of bed, and when I mentioned it later they claimed they shot me 3 times with an airsoft pistol and yelled before I started giving signs of concsiousness. They've hinted that it could become a fairly regular practice.

I need to get something that'll work for me. I considered the Happy Morning Wakeup System (content warning!) but since my computer monitor isn't visible from my bed, it would lose the visual effect. The music it comes with, like the alarm clocks ringing, would just be a rhythm for me to go back to sleep to.

I need to find a file that will wake me up. Any filetype playable in windows media player will be acceptable, I'll handle it from there. If you want to give me something that's against normal forum rules, like the audio equivalent of ******[edit](I see even the word for it is in the forum filter), just PM me instead of posting it here. Just get me something that will wake me up when it wakes my roommates up, if not before.

    I got a 404.

Alternatively, you could set it to say "This CD player alarm clock will detonate in 5... 4... 3... 2..."
