im useless as an alien...please help!
Ok, i've only started playing a few days ago, and been playing as a marine as the game suggests, and have built up a reasonable knowledge of what to do... Today thought I'd try the alien side - big mistake. I didn't really have a clue what was going on, and all my attacks seemed useless - can anyone give me some general guidelines, and some tips on effective attacking..

A tip to make you powerful if you ever get the chance, if you ever become a fade, see to it that you have some extra defense chambers near a possible marine base or close to a point you want to attack, when youre low on health you can simply run back to these chambers and heal up again, and continue the assault wherever that is.
Just my opinion of how to play an alien. Someone else might have better ideas but try this and i think the killing of marines will go better. And a strong factor as well, is how good you are yourself as person to handle aiming and so on to kill things .

#1 Rush, and continual attacks, keep attacking till there base is stotally locked down. Hell when there base is locked down continue and go for there CC
#2 Stalking, after there base is set up stalk around the edges LET NO ONE OUT. As much as 1 leaked marine lets them build up resource nozzles and such, DONT let them! Hold those pesky marines off as long as possible
#3 harrassing, after they have gotten to big to defend every outpost, go to unguarded ones and take out ther turret factory then turrets then structures. If they are not in there main base take out buildings, important technique, find an angle where a building is between you and a turret then chomp away. this will cause the marines to fall back from loosing outposts and such. When you can transform into a fade do so, and be as aggressive as hummunity possible, NEVER let up, EVER! Dont let the marines breathe suffocate them untill they run out of money for HMGS and such.
Also, reading the manual helps, though it is a tough read:
